Very helpful. I'm looking for a small, small, tiny dog. There's a lot of dogs for adoption but not the type I'm looking for a very tiny dog.

The goal of the Arlington Humane Society is to promote responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of all animals through community education. They do that well

It's insane to me that this "humane animal society" offers pet training and even pet care, but does not actually offer adoptions and refuses to be around a pit bull, calling them "dogs known for aggressive behavior" on their website."That's not our job, we're unable to do that. Talk to the city, not us." Make that make sense to me because, doctor, my head hurts. This is not helpful whatsoever.

I called this place sometime ago to see if anyone could help my husband with a dog and her two puppies that were abandoned in a car that was parked in a parking lot not too far from where he worked. The older gentleman that answered the phone asked me what breed they were and when I told him that they were pitbulls he pretty much called them monsters and he said that he would NEVER let such a dangerous animal on his property. Thankfully with the the city's help the city was able to free the dogs and they were given the care that they needed.I understand now that this establishment doesn't take in strays and that's fine but the way that it was explained to me on the phone was done in a very ugly matter.. I gave this place a one star rating because the customer service here is terrible. I personally feel the one star rating is being pretty generous because if I could give this place a lower rating then I would.

Now I see why they have a low rating . Customer service needs to improve. No need to be rude on the phone when people have questions. There are different ways to communicate and be professional about it.

Took a dog that I found running in the street here and was told that they "are NOT an intake facility". I don't know how they are affiliated with the Humane Society if they don't take in animals.

No help at all. Called to make an appointment for a surrender and the man on the phone kept asking irrelevant questions about our money problems and ended it with “I think you should keep him because there’s probably no home for him out there.” Will not be looking towards this shelter in the future.
