I left Lighthouse due to number of reasons but the biggest reason was due to the lack of compassion and caring the director had towards my child. He had too many incidents to count. Each time he had an incident I wanted to see what action plans the director had to prevent further problems. I felt I was on my own. I had always come up with plans and discussed with the teachers. But the director had no involvement. I still wanted to stay and work it out. Finally I left because my son had a laceration under his chin that requires stitches. I wanted to see the camera so I can discuss preventions with the director and teachers. The teacher was very kind and told me what time it happened so we could view it on camera. The director Mrs. Ashley said no recording was done because the camera was live. Should anything happened to your child and she said no recording at this technology age. Mrs. Ashley never followed up on his chin but only asked how he was after I called and told her I needed to pull my son out. Lighthouse would be better if it was run by a more caring director to discuss solutions for a safer environment.

Overall, this is a very good school and I have never questioned my child's safety here. There seems to be a lot of turnover in certain classrooms, and many of the staffers in classrooms seem to really have no qualifications to be instructors (and have no plans to get any further, related education). It may be the same at every day care, but it's hard to swallow at this price point. Many of the people my child is dealing with are truly just babysitters. I know it is difficult to find teachers -- and employees in general -- these days. But this location loses people constantly -- possibly pointing to a problem with management or ownership. There are no better options in the area, so parents stick with it and don't complain.

The teachers are great. The administrators have no business in education. The turnover is OUTRAGEOUS for this reason. Communication is non existent and my 3 year old says “I’m scared” when approaching. He is fine once in the classroom but is scared to death of the director and refuses to speak to her. He shuts down and goes silent.

We had a rough start but now I couldn’t be happier. My son loves going to school and the teachers/ management staff will address your concerns and ensure your child is taken care of. He has learned so much and has met some great friends along the way. Thank you for caring for our children!!

No communication. They are extremely unprofessional, immoral, and unethical. The pack 30 2-3 year olds in a room and then place blame on the children when their expectations aren't met. They give developmentally inappropriate work for toddlers and then suggest your child is "behind". Refused to follow doctors orders and continued to send my child home when he wasn't sick. For the price you pay you are better off going where they have certified professionals. This place just puts an adult in the classrooms with NO experience whatsoever ever. The early infant and toddler teachers are great and truly have patience and do what is right by the kids but after that the constant turnover is a problem.when you have a DIRECTV that tells the teachers not to communicate issues with parents because we are actually involved and had complaints, you know you have issues. They are only in it for the money and not the kids. Save yourself the heartache and go elsewhere.

Our son has been here for about 2 years, and he has really blossomed socially. I feel like he's much better prepared for heading to Kindergarten, and as a parent that certainly helps take some of the stress off of him heading to the "school age school" as he likes to call it!

No doubt Children’s Lighthouse of Arlington is the best daycare in the area.. We as parents are so grateful and satisfied to see our daughter always look forward to and excited to go to school, enjoy her time and come back home with stories. She has been here since last one and a half years!! Thankful to all her teachers from room 7,8 and 9 for providing a beautiful environment for all kids to learn, explore and grow. Now that we are relocating, she will miss children’s lighthouse the most! Would highly recommend Childrens lighthouse!!

We are very happy with Children’s lighthouse Viridian! All the staff are great people and really seem to care about the children in their care. My daughter has learned so much during the time she has been there. The peace of mind knowing she is in a safe place with people who care about her is the best part! Also, having the live feed video available where I can check in on her throughout the day is priceless.

The convenience, curriculum and summer programmes are excellent. The teachers and staff are friendly and caring for both of my kiddos who attend there. In addition, Children's Lighthouse Viridian teaches children how to give back by raising funds and items for reputable organizations, and also offers extra curricular activities sick as dance, gymnastics, soccer and STEM projects. My two children have attended since 2019 and I recommend Children's Lighthouse Viridian because it has aided in giving them a caring and well-rounded preschool education.

We have been a Children’s Lighthouse Viridian family since opening day. We have nothing but positive things to say about the center. It’s clean, well ran, and safe. We love the parent night out opportunities, summer field trips, and splash pad in the summer. Our two kids love going and have made such great friends there.
