I've been here 3 times and the food was great. Chicken was moist, brisket didn't need a knife to cut falls apart when you pick it up, and the ribs are great. Sides are good.

Ok taste, prices are ok, environment is very country. Staff is great, but good just ok for barbeque.

Oh my gosh.... Soooo good! We've eaten here several times and always good. We had them bring all the meat, sides, drinks and dessert to my moms surprise birthday party and they went above and beyond to make sure we had great food. It arrived on time and was warm. We WILL use them again for another party and of course be by for dinner again soon. Y'all don't hesitate, just go! It's delicious! Thank you for amazing food and great customer service!! Yall rock!

Sliced beef sandwich and fully loaded baked potato is amazing. Plus the Kool aid they serve is the best.

Due to the storm the building had partial lighting. The ladies restroom didn't have lights. The cashier offered a flashlight so that we could use the restroom. The beans were cold as well as the Turkey. The meat did have a good taste. Hopefully everything has been restored so that my next visit will be great.

Customer service is awful, the cutter in particular! I walked up to get my order taken and he was sitting down scrolling through his phone, and the lady was just standing at the register on her phone as well. I waited patiently to get my order taken and was very irritated that no one had the courtesy to greet me. When I finally got my order taken, the cutter didn’t even bother to wash his hands or put hand sanitizer on. All I wanted to enjoy a nice dinner but instead I was very disappointed with the quality of the staff.

I used to go to the Colter's by Northeast mall which is gone and has been for years. When we moved to Arlington, I was thrilled to see a Colter's close by. We finally got an opportunity to go eat there and I was somewhat disappointed. I love sausage, but I found their sausage just okay. The brisket was good, but would have been dry without the sauce. I will say that the honey style sauce is delicious. Sides just blah, but the beans were awful. They had an odd flavor that neither I nor my partner could place. No seconds on rolls like back in the day. Just okay.

Went to Colter's today and got two meat dinner (sausage and brisket)with slaw and Mac and cheese. The brisket was thin and lacked flavor, the sausage was droopy and average. The slaw was brownish and lukewarm, also lacking flavor. Finally, the Mac and cheese. Watery, soft and very little flavor as well. Definitely not worth the ridiculous price.

Pretty standard bbq, not outstanding but pretty good and very reliable. The service is good and the prices are good. We come here quite often and are not dissapointed.

I love Colter's BBQ! Every time I come in, whether it's alone or with family, it's always a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. My favorites are the baby back ribs, smoked turkey and of course you can't go wrong with their brisket. Their sides are also really good, tho the potato salad is not my favorite, but you have plenty of other options like their baked potatoes and their onion rings, which are my absolute favorite! Right away you can tell that they're made fresh and don't come in frozen. Check this place out, if you prefer brisket that's not so lean make sure you request for fatty or lifter, and make sure you try all 3 of their options for bbq sauce, their honey bbq is delish!

One of the few Colter's left in our area. It's kind of tucked away and hard to find but will be well worth your effort. Best brisket and sausage in town. Try the Po'boy sandwich with onion rings as your side. It will change your life.

Always consistently good!!!! Love onion rings and lifter brisket sandwich.
I do not understand why this website tries to tell me how much or WHAT I should say in my review. Colters on their website talks about needing reviews from Colters patrons/customers because of Yelp limiting the posting of the reviews. It is frustrating Yelp saying my post isn't long enough and asking if I am a REAL person. Believe me I love Colter's. I know there are people out there who don't care much for chain restaurants BUT I like Colters!!! I like their brisket, ribs, turkey, and especially the onion rings/baked potatoes. The Arlington location is my favorite.
Only suggestion is for fresh unsweetened tea which most of the time is old both in drive through and inside. I don't sweeten my tea in any form which for me is why fresh tea is crucial!

I don't eat as much as i used to, so i get my blue plate special with 2 veggies. i love the basket of onion rings most of all. you get a choice of 3 sauces that you can use as much as you want. they are a little slow cleaning the tables.
you cannot get a better sit down meal except maybe angelos in fort worth.

The absolute best BBQ ever. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The cheese burgers are to die for, you have to try them you won't regret it. My family and I are truly in love with this place, we have been coming here for years and will certainly continue.

Good old Colters. Basic TX BBQ101. It seems like they used to be everywhere maybe that's my imagination, but I spent many happy times at Colters.
Is there better BBQ in town? Yes, and there is much much worse. Colters is good meat in generous portions. Best baked potatoes around but I don't eat like that so much any more. Get the ribs and a baker with hot BBQ sauce. Fried okra is too good to pass up. Maybe some peach cobbler for later. Yeah, sounds about right.
Big tables, casual country atmosphere, country music playing. Don't know why I don't come here more often. Maybe I should. Maybe you should.

Today was our first time after living in the area for three years eating at this barbecue restaurant we took takeout and we ordered the special it was 25 bucks for a family my husband ordered the chicken it was dry I told my husband his chicken is much better he makes it in the convection oven with that said we won't be eating there again. The reviews for this restaurant weren't that great if I would've read them I would have kept hubby from going to Coulters BBQ

They cover everything in BBQ sauce. Any place that serves BBQ sauce all over their meats without the customer asking knows their meats are dry. They don't even have good BBQ sauce.

The beans and onion rings have a disgusting after taste as if they are spoiled. Onion rings are way too thin. The lemonade has a gross taste to it as well, as if its old! The pulled pork sandwiches have a little too much juice/sauce to it and its honestly too greasy. The macaroni is bland as well. Only thing on the menu that was tasty was the sweet delicious corn! Im never wasting my money here again. Do not waste your time please

We ended up getting take-out from here a little while ago and it was just a-okay.
- Fried chicken was amazing. However, the baked chicken lacks a bit of flavor.
- Great service - friendly staff
- Excellent Coupons - BOGO all the time
- Food is a little bland. Particularly beans that have been not the drier end.
Other than that, cannot wait to come back.

Had never been to a Colters BBQ until today. The service was great, the people were friendly, but the food.... this is probably the worst BBQ I've ever had. The food was bland, the brisket was dry, the options were slim. Colters is BBQ like Taco Bell is Mexican food. If you don't know what barbecue is, this is the place for you.

This is a great place for a quick BBQ launch. It's a bit expensive for what you get but tastes great. Tater salad, coleslaw and BBQ, what else does a man need?

I remember a long time ago when Colters was a decent restaurant. I love good barbecue, but can honestly say my meal at the Arlington Colters was probably one of the worst I've had in ages. At the center of the disaster was the brisket, a flavorless slab of meat the was only made edible via extremely thin slices and over sugared sauce. Even the sausage seemed less savory. And while the staff was pleasant and personable, an order of fries wasn't even begun until ten minutes after we had sat down and begun our meal... And I'd gone to complain. In summary, do your self a favor. Hit up Dickies, or better yet, Rudy's. This Colters is now in the same league as Denny's, IHOP, and Ruby's Cafeteria, surviving on baby boomers who can't taste the difference in quality.

The ribs are tasty and the chicken is super delicious. The beans and mac u0026 cheese are really good too. Not a big fan of the green beans. They taste a bit waterlogged.
I haven't tried the salad but that's on my list.
June 2015 by Leslie D.
My husband has been begging me to try it, but I haven't been to Colters in years. So I did and it was ok. I got ribs and they were good just a bit fatty. They advertised mac and cheese on the menu, but they were out. Sad face. The potato salad was just ok. I did like the rolls. The green beans were obviously from a can and lacked any type of seasoning.
The place was empty for 6:00 on a Sunday night, but the drive through was booming.
Overall it wasn't bad, but not great.
