F.J. "Red" Kane Park is a long-standing and tried-and-true staple for the South Arlington community, offering a little bit of everything. It features great walking trails, both paved and unpaved, which are easy to get around and provide plenty of shade. The park includes a couple of small playgrounds, basketball courts, a baseball field, and a large field for activities. A nice pond is present, sometimes with ducks and turtles, and there are peacocks along the trails. Amenities include plenty of picnic table areas with grills, a public restroom, and ample parking. The park has a lively but open feel and is great for walking, bike riding, flying kites, and letting kids burn off energy. It connects to other natural areas, providing plenty to explore. While the playground is a little faded and the pond sometimes has algae, it remains a favorite park for many residents.
This place is one big Rollercoaster. It's got a wall ride and a random old truck to jump over. Just watch out for hikers.
