Update 10/30/23. There are 6 customers outside waiting for them to open, the schedule says they open at 8 and it's 8:58 and the cashier is just walking around inside and doesn't open...Terrible establishment... The cashiers spend their time playing with each other and speaking rudely in front of all the customers... They never have large bags when you carry a lot of merchandise and they never know where the items you need are located... It becomes more difficult for them easy to say "I don't think we have any"

i love it here cos i go here all the time, managers are really sweet & the employees are cool. downfall is that some of the food is old and the ice cream is never or barely in stock. but its still pretty cool there

I'm giving one star and it has nothing to do with the workers. Corporate is absolutely useless with this store. Last year and this year, in the middle of all this horrible heat, those poor workers do not have AC. They have a couple of fans. I am going to file a complaint against Corporate for failing to keep these workers in a safe environment. Not acceptable corporate.

Its the 3rd time that I come to this location and they close from 10-15mins before 10pm!!! RIDICULOUS!! If thats the case CHANGE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS ON YOUR DOOR!!!!

Just heard three of your reps discussing a disabled customer out in front of customers and laughing. Didn't realize a customer asking for accommodation was something to be mocked. Your store is average at best, but this was enough to encourage me to seek out other locations.

I mean MY Family Dollar on New York and Park Row is THE best one on this side of town. We are like family! Have had NO problems with anything I've ever purchased there. They always have everything thats needed, did pretty good when the pandemic came through as well. They have had some personnel changes in the four years that I have been shopping there and I can only assume for position or career advancement because each person that has managed there,are great in customer service, very friendly!

I have been going to this Family Dollar for 25 years, but this time, it was pretty messy. I believe they were trying to change out stock, but things needed to be tidied up.

There is a cashier at this store, who if you are not black you get treated like dirt. This is not a one or two time observation. I do go to this story 3 or 4 times a month. She is obviously racist, and should be fired, to save Family Dollar customers. Also to boast her racism, she proudly wears huge earrings, saying "Black Girls Rock." Its all fine, but if the statement isn't not all inclusive, that is racism. I just can not believe Family Dollar has and continues to allow this. That are other local dollar stores and I may just use them from now on, if this is not addressed. SOON.

I used to live this store, but new management is terrible! They are running out of items I buy on a regular basis and apparently not going to reorder anything!

This is the worst store I have ever been to. The website, the map, and even the sticker outside on the window says it closes at 10pm. I arrived at 9:50 PM and they do not let me in claiming that they are closed. It might be better to pay a bit more out of your wallet to an actual store that are not hustlers like them not letting customers in 10 minutes before closing. They locked the damn doors on me not letting me in.

Worst customer service there was at least five people in they're working and two employees see me waiting for someone to ring me up but they walked by like they didn't see me I had to ring the bell for some service one guy was sitting on the floor other guy had headphones on and not paying attention or didn't care if I was waiting

The manager has no customer service and is very rude!!! The gentleman that was at the register (was new) and my gain coupon would not got through. So the manager (lady) came to the register to help the gentleman. He told her the coupon is not going through. She grabbed the coupon out of his hand to read it. She turns and looks at him and tells him the sizes don't match, instead of telling me the reason. So I asked her to show me where on the coupon it said that, she threw it on the counter and said read the 2nd or 3rd line.. neither line had any information about what ounces/sizes. She then tells me (in a very rude tone) you can not use both digital and paper coupons. I was not aware of that policy, but I didn't want to argue I could tell she was either having a bad day or is not happy to work there. I paid for my stuff and left. I will never go back to that store. Not only is she treating customers this why but she is teaching her employees that this is ok to do. I hope she gets the customer service training she needs!
