WORST COMPANY!!! DO NOT GET!!! Mark Tate the cancellation Manager is SO BAD. this person Named Greg came over to my house and lured us into the company they didn’t tell us that we would have to pay for three years and we cannot get out. I’ve been calling for security almost every month for the past five months and now there are threatening us that we have to pay over $2000 to get out of the contract the person will completely explain their story. Waste your 40 minutes of a call but not understand your side. WORST EVER COMPANY. DO NOT GET

It was Mark Tate, the Fortress Security Customer Relationship Manager who tailor made a deal for me that salvaged and retained my relationship with Fortress. By Mark's skilled professionalism and hands on approach, navigated me through the process which included technologically advanced equipment. Mark was the sole reason why I'm still a Fortress Security client. Fortress is a great company with advanced equipment and great staff.

It saddens me to have to write a negative review for this company. As with other negative reviews for Fortress, the customer service is declining. I have been with Fortress Security for years and years. In June, just prior to me leaving to Europe, the DVR failed. Fortress did come to the rescue and replaced the DVR. When I tried to access the cameras from Europe, I was not able to connect via the HonView app. I brushed it off as internet access. When I am home, there is no need to look at the monitor or recording; however, when I am travelling (I travel for work) I always view the home with the HonView app. I realized that the DVR unit was not working several months ago. Since then, Fortress and I had been going back and forth. We attempted restarting the unit, changing out the cables, and even resorted to using HDMI without success. Despite these, they sent out a technician who came to the same conclusion - defective DVR that was brand new. Fortress even tried to bill me for the service call despite the fact that they gave me a defective unit. The company representative told me that "Fortress is not Amazon" and they had not free returns. Fortress did finally waive the service call charge.I asked for the service to be terminated months ago but each time (three times in all), they played the delay game by telling me that "some one would call." Yesterday, I resorted to writing a letter demanding that the service be terminated (incidentally, my contract with Fortress had been fulfilled years ago). I am moving to ADT!
