I visited the Highlands location this evening to pick up a bracelet (had been sent to Kerrville to add a link- I had removed two and the bracelet was tighter than I wanted) and drop another one off to have the charms moved. Sadly, Kerrville was unable to add the additional link. Joanna immediately told me that she would exchange my bracelet for another large one and remove one link, which is perfect. The fact that she suggested this and allowed me to make the change is so very appreciated. She went above and beyond to help me and make me happy. She’s also very kind. Gracie then helped me space the charms on the exchanged bracelet and on the one I was dropping off. She is so sweet, patient, and kind. She must have spent an hour with me helping me get the balancing right and the way I wanted it. She made me feel so comfortable, which is so rare these days. It means more to me than I can say, and it’s appreciated so much. Thank you Joanna and Gracie for your kindness, patience, and expertise. This is the best customer service I’ve ever had.
An update: I went back the next day to pick up my bracelets. There was still an adjustment that I wanted to have made on one of the bracelets. Alisha helped me immensely to make the adjustment and get my bracelet just perfect! She is so sweet, patient, and kind. She was even able to have the two charms I brought put on right then! Thank you Alisha! I highly recommend this beautiful store - the people are wonderful.
Update from 12Sep12: I called the store to try and make a modification on my doggie bracelet that was going to be ready that afternoon, but the charms had already been added. Samantha came to the phone and offered to move a couple of them to make the change. The number of links between the charms wasn’t matching up with what I had wanted. She offered to redo the bracelet for me when I came in that afternoon. She determined that the style of the bracelet had changed a little bit - hence the amount of links confusion. She came up with a solution and made my bracelet perfect! This bracelet means so much to me, and she was part of that. Thank you to all the sweet ladies that helped me get the perfect bracelet to honor my sweet fur angel 💙

Samantha was amazing! She immediately helped us locate the charm we were looking for and was able to expedite the process to get it attached to my bracelet. Thanks, Samantha, for a wonderful experience at the Arlington Highlands James Avery! I will ask for you every time!

If I could leave negative stars I would. Paid $60 dollars for initial charm for 2 year old necklace. The initial bent after a few months and james avery only offered discount for replacement. Whats the point of buying james avery if they don't stand behind their products. I could understand if I had it for years. But not after few months.

My first time going in to purchase ,I had gone to another location but didn't get acknowledged for a long time ,we looked around but didn't purchase cause of the customer service, well we walk in here we were immediately greeted and were treated very nice, with acustomer service that just was amazing ,ended up getting 2 things instead of 1 ,I was so very pleased with my purchase 😀.

Probably the most unfriendly and non helpful James Avery I’ve ever been to. I work retail and have for years… but this was pretty bad. We were shopping the charm event, and we were not helped or greeted on the sales floor… while two associates were talking and laughing to themselves… I had to go up to one worker and ask if she’d pull the items that we needed so that we can try them on… and she was very reluctant and said “yes but if I pull them you’ll have to get back in line to check out”…. There was no line? She pulled the items and another girl at the counter started ringing us up without even talking to us, before we even saw the jewelry or try it on. No engagement… I was really surprised and never experienced this at a James Avery… I even look around and watched a different associate being non expressive and stone facing another customer who was asking her questions. Basically, out of the 5 associates that I witnessed none of them had customer service skills which James Avery normally is outstanding. Will not be returning to this location…. Very strange and disappointing.

I love James Avery. My husband has purchased several pieces there for me. They have a little bit of everything to match just about anyone's interests. The clasp on my charm bracelet that my husband got for me there broke and they fixed it for free.

I was immediately greeted when I walked in, and the sales associate was eager to help me. I brought my charm bracelet with 20+ charms to attach as well as a repair and numerous pieces to be cleaned and polished. Then I had of long list of items to buy, which were gathered quickly. My sales associate was sweet and patient, and she was able to get me taken care of very efficiently. The store was pleasant and comfortable. Thank you!

I feel like the same associate that was mentioned in other negative reviews was who I had the pleasure of meeting. My husband and I are from out of state and entered at opening eager to shop while getting one necklace cleaned and hoping to also get a charm attached to my bracelet. Our shopping mood was quickly deflated when the associate, who didn’t seem happy to be there, quickly informed us that they were short handed, only two there, and she (looking at other associate), didn’t do cleaning so nothing could be ready before 3PM. I looked around a little dumbfounded. No other customers, Monday morning at 10 AM, and two employees. I looked back at her, and she reinstated the fact that only two employees were present. So, we left the store, with two employees, and no other customers.
