I've been attending this church for a while and while it's not for everyone, it is for a lot of people looking for God & His people. It is a Bible based church. The pastor is truly a man of God & teaches God's word for the people of the only living God. However, do not judge this church, the pastor or it's members, on your experience, because it's your experience. There are 3 sides to a story; your side, their side & the truth. There is no perfect church, so stop looking for it in people. God is perfect, seek HIM. I believe He inhabits in the praises of HIS people. Amen.

Best church EVER! If you are looking for a church, don't miss coming here. You will enjoy it! 9am or 11am come on. Pastor R.W. Goines is the real deal - straight, no chaser! He preaches the unadulterated truth whether you want it or not. They have truly figured it out at Koinonia. If you don't get an understanding, it's because you don't want one. Come and be free!

I do not attend this church. I attended for a friend of mine who passed away. It has taken me some time to calm down to give a comment that wasn't full of anger. My friend was agnostic. He believed in a higher power but answered to no God. He would join his pagan friends to celebrate Yule, he would respectfully convers about any form of spirituality with the only intent to understand. When he passed a large chunk of the people who attended were pagan. They sat down and attended the service to pay our fallen friend and his family respect. That being said they weren't given that respect back.Durring the eulogy a quote was put up. Something about "we all need to agree on the same things." I'm not sure the exact word. But the person who spoke addressed the non-Christians in the crowed to "let go of the old gods and let Jesus into their hearts."The audacity this man had. We were there because our friend was dead. A friend who respected and accepted everyone for who they were. He would have been disgusted in the disrespect. That didn't just disrespect his friends, but it disrespected him. It was a disrespect on his memory. Ironically enough; the masses who understood what he was saying did come to a unified agreement. That stunt, was inappropriate and disgraceful. From pagans, to catholics, to other creeds. The words struck rage in everyone I spoke to about it. Many, myself included, wanted to have words with the ecologist. But we were tired, in pain, and didn't want to bother our friend's family. He chose a time where people were mourning, in pain, vulnerable, to try and push his own agenda. I have spoken to many other pastors after this and they were equally disturbed by this. That was borderline predatory; preying on those who were in a vulnerable state. If you wish to spread your word, that isn't how you go about it. Not how you said it, and definitely not durring a funeral.I dont want an apology, because I dont believe they would be sorry. But I hope they learn and do better. We respected the church. We expected to be respected back.I spent the last day with my friend hearing someone tell me to get overmyself and pray to a deity I never felt called by. When not long ago my friend joined his friends in their practice to pay respects. How would you feel if a atheist held a funeral service and said you were crazy for worshiping an imaginary person? How would you feel especially when he or she said that?We lost a friend, what makes you think we would just throw the faith that gave us comfort away cause you tell us to when you're suppose to be saying words of comfort for the dead?Do better.

If you don't mind cursing during the sermon, many secular references, being told who to vote for, school board meetings during church, and being told you don't get blessings unless you tithe to Koinonia, this is the place for you!Goines is all about his paper and his secular tunes that he says are ok, because he doesn't want to let go of the world. All the while telling you to hold your phone up, so he knows you gave money he keeps begging for.I've yet to see any financial classes, I've yet to see workshops on how to manage your finances. But there is always a $70 conference or $20 party at the church. Yay?!Where is the money going? Be transparent, if you have nothing to hide.Yall bought a building in GP to do something with and yall have a ministry in Ghana, but there are people in your church who need help, and you refuse, because you think they haven't given any money. You leaders are going to be held accountable for misleading people.
