Couldn't cancel my membership and had to pay for that month. Even though I cancelled and payed the cancellation fee.

The staff at Planet Fitness are highly deceptive and make it difficult to cancel your subscription and use intimidation and other tactics to get you to not cancel renewals. The event took place at Planet Fitness on April 30th, 2026 approximately between the hours of 7:20 and 8:20 in case camera footage is available. I had come in for a workout with my brother as usual and there was a young lady of African American descent, approx 6ft tall, and around 20-25 years of age who mentioned to me that my annual renewal was about to hit. Now on the app (although at the time of the interaction I had forgotten that I had already cancelled the renewal) later on I discovered that cancellation was pending. This would be accurate because my 12 month commitment would not end until May and I understood this and I did not want to opt out early and pay the cancellation fee. So when the young lady who also wheres glasses I forgot to mention, tells me I was up for my annual renewal, this made no sense and I told her I did not want to renew my annual renewal and to cancel it. This activated a very hostile effort from the staff to confuse me and I will attempt to recall everything that was said to the best of my ability. There was skinny taller guy with longer hair he is of caucasian descent and of brown hair approx 6'3 who begins to listen in along with a 5'5 blonde caucasian male wearing a black shirt he is also skinny. All of them seem to be in the 25 age bracket although the blonde one may be older but looks young. I am explaining that I do not want to pay the annual renewal because I do not want to renew the membership with planet fitness. They keep responding to me that I can not cancel the Planet Fitness membership without paying a buyout fee. My response again is I am ok with fulffilling the rest of my contract but the African American girl just told me that I have an annual renewal that is about to come out and I don't want to pay that because I do not want to continute with Planet Fitness. This goes on for about a minute when out of nowhere I get sidelined by a larger more muscular light-skinned African American bald headed male in a grey sweater and of approximately 6'3 ft of height who began a series of illogical arguments as to why my request was could not be fulfilled. I began to explain the same that I had to the other employees, I simply did not want to renew the annual membership neither pay the annual fee that I had already paid in the beginning of the contract. Why would I pay a fee if I have no intentions of being a part of Planet Fitness any longer? He said according to the contract I had to cancel 2 months prior or it automatically renews and they are going to take the money anyways. This irritates me because I look the the blonde caucasian male and I state that in that case I was lied to because he told me that I needed to wait until the last month in order to cancel it to which he stayed quiet and said nothing wide-eyed. The Baldheaded man continues to tell me that there was nothing that could be done and that I should've read the contract and asked had I read it, I state not that I can recall in totality and then he proceeds to tell me that I'm stupid for not reading the contract and I said first of all don't disrespect me secondly, you don't read the contract everytime your Iphone decides to update all you do is hit agree. Then he continues to gaslight me about the buyout fee vs the annual renewal fee and I tell him listen I'm not talking about a buyout I'm talking about the annual renewal and I want the contract because I don't trust corporate and I don't trust the contracts because if what you're saying is true it's an illegal and null contract and I'm liable to sue, what you're saying doesn't make sense. He replies, "what you need to understand is that I don't care if you don't trust corporate or the contract" I cut him off and reply" Well I don't care if you don't care about me not trusting the c

I've been waiting for almost 10 mins now just to ask can I use the massage bed, I don't see any staff and can't find any staff .... That's my only issue with this gym I can never find staff when I need them

The gym doesn't have enough air circulation, especially in the tanning and massage room areas. There is a strong odor when you walk in. The gym lobby also has the same odor, but it's not as strong.

I had an amazing experience at Planet Fitness, thanks to the outstanding customer service from Alexis at the front desk! From the moment I walked in, Alexis greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. She was incredibly helpful, taking the time to answer all my questions about the gym facilities and even gave me some pointers on the equipment. Her friendly attitude and willingness to go above and beyond made a huge difference in my visit. I left feeling motivated and excited to come back. Planet Fitness is lucky to have such a dedicated and welcoming team member!

Staff at this location are super friendly and are like a second family to me, I look forward to working out not only because of my love for the gym but also because I get to see and chat with the awesome employees, all the amenities are well taken care of and the space is clean and welcoming!
