Pros: Best Barbacoa I've had in a while, agua fresca is on point, breakfast tacos are like $1.35. Cons: the inside is a dump, take it to-go

The food is decent, but I can't give this place more than one star because I found a discrepancy between my credit card receipt and my credit card statement. It's just a small amount equal to 3.6% of total bill, but I expect my receipts and statement to reconcile. No indication whatsoever that there was going to be a 3.6% upcharge during transaction. What a strange amount! Did I get charged for the cost of a credit card transaction or did the cashier add a random small amount as a tip hoping customers wouldn't notice? I don't know, but this customer DID notice. ASK FOR A RECEIPT (I had to ask for one), AND CHECK IT AGAINST YOUR CARD!!!!!!!!! Can't support a business I can't trust!

This is literally the worst Mexican food I have ever had. We ordered the steak super nacho macho and the 3 item plate (two cheese enchiladas and a soft taco, rice and beans. First, you can't order a drink at the restaurant. You have to buy one from the convenient store they are attached to. I was ok with this until I was told that the fountain machine doesn't work. STRIKE ONE! Second, instead of steak we got greasy beef on our nachos and they forgot the guacamole. I told them just to add guacamole and stopped them after one scoop when I realized it was just a green soupy mess they dumped onto an already white and brown soupy mess from the sour cream and beef. The worst part was that the chips were stale. STRIKE TWO!! Third, the cheese enchiladas were severely lacking cheese and the red sauce they topped it with was basically smoky flavored ketchup. Gross. The El Pastor taco we ordered with the plate was the only edible item we were served. STRIKE THREE!!! You can't judge this place for being in a gas station. I have had great Mexican food in gas stations. This place, however, is worth skipping for literally anywhere else... no matter how far you have to drive.

Me and my wife are from El Paso, TX home of Chico's Tacos. Moved to Dallas area and I must say. It's a blessing having this nearby. The Chino Tacos are to die for!!! I must say I believe they're better than Chicos from my hometown. If you haven't tried them, you must stop by ASAP and try them. I recommend putting the jalapeno cilantro lime salsa and the creamy avocado salsa on them. THANK YOU TACO REVOLUTION FOR THE DELICIOUS TACOS!!

Ordered food through Grub Hub. First problem, the driver was holding the bags of food upside down. Not good. However that's not the reason for the 2 stars. Ordered beef taco salad. It was a pile of tortilla chips with ground beef, a very small amount of cheese, very little lettuce and a VERY small amount of sour cream and brown guac. This is definitely NOT a salad. There was NO salsa which would normally be used as your dressing. Not what I expected.

Read all the reviews on Yelp - and had to try it...... right down the street from my hotel..... Mehhhh...... Got a cheap lunch ($8) of tacos, beans and rice..... What a freakin mess..... tacos had no flavor.... sauce was little more than tomato sauce and a touch of spice... beans - heated from a can..... rice - no taste whatsoever..... Service was great! Atmosphere was "cheap, authentic"! Food was: Fills you up the same way a seasoned block of cardboard would..... Down to your last $10....?? I recommend this place for something filling.... Want Mexican food? - keep looking... Taco Bell is better (Never thought I would ever recommend Taco Bell for anything).....

Y'all. This place is spicy good. Came for breakfast tacos (bacon/egg, El Habanero, and Jalapeí±o/onion) and they were so fresh and hot. The drink sizes are amazing - my friend is a big drinker and couldn't finish - but you have to pay for refills. It's hidden in the gas station and if you want coffee you have to pay at the station.

I went in this place to order I stood at the counter for approximately 15 minutes the only person in line all of the customers and employees just starred as if I'm not suppose to be there unaware I'm a paralegal I could very well get them for discrimination but I walked out no one never asked if I needed help but next time I will be ready and recording it all

This place is located inside the gas station. It is not fancy, but it is legit. The Hispanic staff walked me though the menu and I ended up ordering five different tacos. 3 probably would have been enough for a meal but I wanted to try everything. They are not open late, so lunch or breakfast are your best options. Their meat came out sizzling inside the tacos, everything was made fresh to order. A variety of house-made sauces sit in squeeze bottles in a fridge off to the side, all of them are delicious. The tacos mostly came with a simple garnish of onions and cilantro, so they are not complicated, but they are darn good. Especially for a gas station stop, this place is awesome.

I found Habaneros by mistake & I am so glad I did! It's in a gas station, & I was going in to buy Cheetos when the smell hit me. When I looked over I saw Habaneros and noticed people were sitting down eating. Their menu is pretty big, and the place looked clean so I decided to order two of their Revolution tacos. The tacos are small, but very filling! The revolution tacos have all the meats in them plus onion and cilantro. I would probably not order those tacos again, just because it was way too much meat for me. I must say that the meat was tender and full of flavor! The lady gave me two containers so I could put salsa in them to go. HANDS DOWN their salsa is one of the best I have ever had!!! I only tried two, I did the chile piquin & the jalapeí±o lime. It is super flavorful and tastes fresh! It has me wondering why my mother has never made these types of salsas! The tacos are also pretty cheap, I paid right under 4 bucks for two pretty legit Mexican tacos. I cannot wait to come back to this hidden gem I have found!!!

We. Love. Habaneros. Every time we go back to Texas to visit my partners family we stay at a hotel near Habaneros and every time we visit, we gotta visit Habaneros. Not only is the food made to order but they have these sauces in a fridge near, that is pretty much help yourself sauce, and those sauces really make the tacos. I mean they are pretty darn good on their own, but they taste absolutely wonderful with the sauces. Plus I think they have 6 different kinds of sauces. So food made to order, this delicious awesome juice that they make in a jar, and also SUPER affordable prices. Honestly, I love habaneros, and hope to go back and have more tacos soon. Bottom line: YES. YES. YES. COME EAT.

I enjoy the tacos here but when they screw up an order be careful on how they charge you. I ordered over a dozen breakfast tacos but when I got there they had made 5 of them plates when I told them no we ordered tacos she corrected the order but then she charged me $1.50 per taco instead of $1.35 like their menu says. I was in a rush to take them to work so I didn't argue again, but just check your receipt if you argue with them they may try to over charge you.

Really delicious tacos from this little gem! I was staying in town for the week and found this place the last day, but will definitely be back when I come next. The tacos are small, if you're from San Antonio like me you may need at LEAST 2 haha. I ordered one bean and cheese, and one El habanero taco without meat. I put some of my bean and cheese in the other taco, that's why it looks like that lol. Great salsa as well, truly flavorful and quick service. Located inside of a gas station and you can dine in if you need!

Very authentic food or just maybe it seems that way because it's inside a gas station. If you go by the crowd it's authentic as it gets. All I wish was the salsas were more up to par as they didn't seem fresh, that is only reason going to a 4star. Id certainly go back and give another try and see what other food options they had.
