My husband and I scheduled an appointment to see a SPECIFIC vehicle on Saturday, got an appointment scheduled for following Monday. Morning of, we received a message from sales rep asking if we were on the way and we confirmed. Upon arrival sales representative Mike S. tells us the vehicle was sold on Saturday, then goes on offering other vehicles when we initially showed interest in the one vehicle. We would’ve appreciated if there was better communication between to avoid getting our time wasted. Apparently you got to make sure to confirm vehicle you’re interested in still available before you get to your appointment since they won’t communicate that with you!!!

They increased my father in laws length of the loan and charged him the same monthly payment and once he noticed have been ignoring his calls. I called an old employee of the company who is a friend and they said they love to add additional things right before signing and that they don’t care as long as they get the loan out. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.

Update:
Had to drop this to 1 star with all the headache I'm getting as a result of the way they do auto loans here.
Have to update this review after 3 years as a customer here from a 5 star location to 2. I don't know what's causing this to be how they operate, but I'm honestly just infuriated anytime I get my car serviced here. It's always something. Feel free to get your car here, but never get your service done at this location unless you have the time to stay here until it's done! How ever many hours that'll take.
Current example:
Before, they had people on site to shuttle you to and from the dealership while your car was being serviced. Then they switched to ordering you an Uber. Now they've switched again to giving you a voucher, and have you deal with all of Uber's nonsense. I haven't had to use this frustrating app in years, and it's only gotten so much worse. And the only reason I'm dealing with it is because I took the offer to go home and get work done.
I'm stuck home waiting to get to my car because I chose to get it serviced here! One driver cancelled before showing, and I'm now waiting longer. All this for doing what never caused an issue in the past for me - GOING HOME!

I love it here! I get my maintenance done and i always get taken care of! They always mail you coupons to use and have sweet treats for customers on wknds! If you choose not to wait they give you uber voucher to go home! Definitely recommend!! I will no longer go to Family toyota in arlington because they don’t offer all of the above !

Very unsatisfactory service. I hated being given the runaround instead of getting straight to the point and numbers. Do you want to make a clean sale or play games. Left to Grapevine Toyota same day.

Miss Faith is the best. I strongly suggest that when you take your car for servicing, you request her assistance.

UPDATE: Over a year later and these fools are still calling me. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Won't stop calling me after telling them time and time again to stop. Told them if I need anything, I would call. I don't typically give reviews, but after the most recent sales call at 9:00 pm I believe it's well deserved. Will never buy from or recommend this dealership.

Arrived to look at a specific car listed as available on the website. Talked to a sales associate about it, test drove it, said I was ready to talk numbers and then he left and came back saying someone called (just before he came back) to place a 24 hour hold on it…? Poor way to do business. When someone is present and ready to buy a car that’s “available,” work the deal. Wasted my time.

Make sure you know what's required for maintenance for servicing before you schedule and what is included in your Toyota Care plan (2-year/25,000 miles for purchased vehicles [every 6-months or 5,000 miles). Took my vehicle in for a 6-month since it keeps low miles. Service rep stated: 1) according to the system they didn't change my oil and they would be doing an oil change for free today (duh, it's included in my Toyota Care plan), and 2) they're going to do a $29 fuels system clean since he's helping me out with a free oil change today (I declined).
Anyway, it sounds to me like this may be a common practice at this Service Center so make sure you know what's included for free already and what's required because it looks like they try to upcharge or upsell to customers they think don't know what's included/required.
And you guys owe me a free oil change outside of my warranty since you didn't do it last time.

I am a senior and retired, and this was my second visit to Vandergriff Toyota while searching for a Toyota RAV4. Unfortunately, both visits involved excessive haggling and inconsistent pricing.
I was interested in a used 2024 Toyota RAV4 XLE/Limited with approximately 28,000 miles, listed at $34,000. From the beginning, I asked clearly for the out-the-door price. After speaking with management, I was told the out-the-door price was $41,000, which I declined.
The price was later reduced to $37,000 out the door, which I also declined, explaining that I could purchase a new vehicle for that amount. As I was leaving, a salesperson ran after me and offered $35,000 out the door. I agreed and returned inside to proceed with the purchase.
Once inside, I was told the salesperson was being changed because he was “new and inexperienced,” and I was assigned a more experienced representative. At that point, I was informed the new price was $35,996. I was then told the original $35,000 offer from management could not be honored because the dealership could not afford to lose that much on the sale—despite that amount being their own offer. I was also told additional approval was required from another manager.
Due to the continued price changes, lack of transparency, and the refusal to honor the quoted price, I left without purchasing a vehicle. I was simply trying to buy a used car at a fair and honest price, but the process became unnecessarily stressful.
I hope this feedback encourages clearer pricing and more straightforward communication for future customers.

Worst experience at a dealership I’ve ever had. They told so many lies it was ridiculous. I went in ready to purchased the vehicle I came to see. I received an offer for my current vehicle of $8400 prior to going in. When I arrived they were nice. I took a test drive which went okay. The need maintenance light came on and I ask about it . The lady taking me on the test drive said it probably needed to be reset, so fine. When I got back to find out the trade in offer they said $1000 on a 2018 limited rouge with 89000 mile and no major damage. I told them I was leaving no thanks. I let them know that wasn’t even close to the offer of $8400 I received. The lady went back to talk to her manager and came back with $7000 on fine I was okay with that. She showed me the price breakdown and Ii saw a cost of $4600 for dealer accessories. I asked what this was for and was told it was for the work the dealership needed to do to get the car ready. So I asked for a breakdown of the work that was done. She also told me the warranty was $2000 7year/100,000 miles fine no problem. She went back to get the breakdown. She return to tell me they hadn’t actually done anything yet that was the estimate.
They tired in every way to con me and not give me my trade in value. It was very disappointing and I would not recommend them.

I was excited to buy a new truck but unfortunately I waited for an hour to be helped. I had an appointment at 6:30, I was told to wait, and an hour later… no help. Sad.

The oil change took 2 hours with no update until 1.5 hours in when we went and asked how much longer. Yes we had an appointment that we were on time to.
Then they called that same evening asking if we wanted to upgrade to a different vehicle. There is nothing wrong with our 2022 Sienna and we never once expressed any interest in their sales department.

My recent visit to Vandergriff Toyota was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. I came in for a **basic tire rotation**—nothing complicated—and even arrived **15 minutes early** for my scheduled appointment. Despite that, my vehicle wasn’t ready until **over 4 hours later**, and during that entire time I received **zero communication, zero updates, and zero courtesy**.
What made the situation even worse was the behavior of the service representative. He was **unprofessional, dismissive, and outright rude** any time I asked a question. His attitude was completely unacceptable for someone in customer service. He wouldn’t listen to anything I tried to explain about additional concerns, and it felt like he couldn’t care less about helping customers.
There is absolutely no reason a simple tire rotation should take this long, especially with an appointment, and certainly no excuse for treating customers this way. This experience showed a complete lack of respect for my time and a total failure in customer service.
I expected better from a dealership of this size, but after this visit, I will be seriously reconsidering whether I ever return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because customers deserve far better than what I experienced.
