Rick was awesome helping with my vehicle warranty to get my transmission fixed. Sun Auto Service did an excellent job communicating and keeping on top of the warranty company. The transmission was done in less than a day. It runs and drives great. Thank you so very much.

This place may be OK for simple regular, run of the mill stuff. Dunno about that though. I brought my van in as it was close to the house and looking for a mechanic close to home. My van was only running on 3 or 4 cylinders (V8). Two different diagnostics charges and then they wanted to put in a new engine. Had it towed to my regular mechanic in the next town. Turns out it was a bad distributor. I thought it was burned wires in the harness next to the EGR pipe. The symptoms were similar to one I had a couple of years ago, so assumed. A distributor is a LOT cheaper than a whole new engine!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO Sun Auto Service, at Address: 7625 Farm to Market 1960 Rd E, Humble, TX 77346, because it is possible that it will be stolen or overcharged.... I have taken the car for an inspection to Sun Auto Service, they assisted me and received my car, Mr. Rick works at the counter, be very careful when I took the car, he had a diagnosis first and they told me that the A/C evaporator had to be changed, I fix it and they charged me a fortune. They didn't tell me about the other damage I had, I asked for an inspection, and they told me that the catalyst was damaged, I fix it they charged me again a fortune. And he told me this will take care of everything. For the inspection and I paid a fortune, I asked for an inspection again, supposedly I do not longer had any damage that would prevent me from passing, they told me If I didn't change the brake modulator it wouldn't pass inspection, Mr. Rick was very rude in his treatment of all of these, and wanting to sell me the parts at a very very high price, I told them to fix it and now Mr. Rick told me very rudely that I had to change the tires...friends, don't take your car to that place, they are going to steal it like they robbed me...I will never go to that place again...then when I left the place, Mr. Rick called me twice as if to bother I told him that if he called me again I would report him...

Don't waste your time! They are scamming customers. They will charge you for items and not fix them. Like clearing check engine light codes but not changing the parts. Then when you bring it back they will tell you something different needs changing to get more money from you. I went back-and-forth 2 or 3 times before taking it somewhere else only to find out the sensor had never been changed. Gasket was still old and it was an old dealer part (not one of theirs) . The extra work they pushed on me was not needed. When I called and spoke with the manager? His suggestion was to bring it back and get the work they suggested instead of addressing my concerns. I reported this to their corporate office. And they have yet to respond back regarding my refund request. I will be notifying the Better Business Bureau next. 0 stars

Good service and I will return. However, the last time I was there for an oil change, they had to order a new plug, and after waiting for an hour, I asked when the vehicle would be ready (usually only takes about 30 min) and that's when they told me about the part. I was in the waiting room and someone could had told me so I knew it would be a longer wait. Please communicate with your customer, thanks!Service: Oil change

Brought our Honda Odyssey in because the A/C wasn't blowing cold. They diagnosed and fixed it really quickly for a fair price. I really appreciated the proactive communication by Donnie, and I also appreciated the rides to/from my house as it was being fixed. Took 40 mins longer than the 1hr they said it would and they lied about me needing an alignment so I wasted time going other places to get that checked out and I'm so glad the place I picked didn't charge me anything for wasting their time. Frustrating and time consuming.

I've always had a great experience here! The staff is always super friendly and go above and beyond to help me. They're quick and thorough and also explain everything in detail, which I appreciate! They are very reasonably priced compared to competitors. You can sit in their waiting room while your car is being worked on, otherwise there are various stores/shops nearby if you need a snack, grocery, spa, etc. it is conveniently located!
