“We visited the Texan Theatre for their brand new Second Saturday Music Jam hosted by Drew Boring. The theatre building is a remarkably well-restored original from the colorful history of Athens, Texas. The rear wall behind the stage is of glass which allows the outdoors and indoors to meld together giving the feeling of an outside concert. The tall ceiling imparts so much spaciousness that again one feels they are attending an outdoor concert, but have the convience of air conditioning and indoor plumbing.
Musical artists shared their talents through song, dance, and spoken word. Each performer breathed life into their creation adding another facet to a huge diamond of a show. I can't wait until the next Second Saturday Jam comes around next month. Congratulations to Drew Boring for arranging such a great show.”

“Always clean and generally not crowded. My dad is very hard of hearing and the theater offers headphones as well as closed captioning devices, this has been such a wonderful experience and now he can enjoy the movies and get out more.”

We booked a tasting reservation online that came with 2 tastings, and then each ordered a glass after that. The sourdough bread & wine was delicious! Highly recommend this place the property is so gorgeous”
