“We visited the Texan Theatre for their brand new Second Saturday Music Jam hosted by Drew Boring. The theatre building is a remarkably well-restored original from the colorful history of Athens, Texas. The rear wall behind the stage is of glass which allows the outdoors and indoors to meld together giving the feeling of an outside concert. The tall ceiling imparts so much spaciousness that again one feels they are attending an outdoor concert, but have the convience of air conditioning and indoor plumbing.
Musical artists shared their talents through song, dance, and spoken word. Each performer breathed life into their creation adding another facet to a huge diamond of a show. I can't wait until the next Second Saturday Jam comes around next month. Congratulations to Drew Boring for arranging such a great show.”
“Attended a 10 year wedding anniversary party at this establishment. The venue is nice due to how spacious it is. I also appreciate there is a ramp to enter the venue, which makes it easy to haul stuff in and out while setting up.”
“Always clean and generally not crowded. My dad is very hard of hearing and the theater offers headphones as well as closed captioning devices, this has been such a wonderful experience and now he can enjoy the movies and get out more.”
“I have been here over 3 months, NRVTA completed all the courses. If you are not coming to Tara Winery YOU ARE-MISSING OUT! Great atmosphere! Great Staff! They have great beer from Athens Brewery as well. Best food anywhere. My wife has tried many others and keep coming back here! Try it! I guarantee you’ll be back!”

“This Holiday Inn exceeded all of my expectations! The entire staff was amazing, but a huge shoutout to Christie—she was so fun and upbeat, and she truly made us feel right at home.
We stayed in a King Suite which was wonderful; the room was incredibly clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Also, don't miss the free breakfast—they have a very cool pancake machine that was a fun touch. Overall, it was an amazing weekend away. Highly recommended!

“The nightingale was a beautiful venue to have our wedding at! It was spacious, loved the beautiful stairs to go down, and the bridal and grooms suite was amazing. Not to mention everyone that works there was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions!”
