This is the rudest pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The sad thing is it's in a small Texas town where you would expect better treatment.
I ignored their dismissive attitude the first time a couple of years ago. Thank God I have not had many prescriptions to fill while I live part-time in Athens, TX.
Recently, I dropped a script off to refill my epipens for my allergies. I asked if I could drop expired pens with them, and the girl just rolled her eyes and said, "Not here."
A couple of days later, they sent a text saying the script was delayed, citing insurance issues. Well, my insurance has not changed in years, so I waited and waited to hear back from them. I travel for work, so I did not push for it until I realized that the script expired on March 29th. I called them on April 5th, and whomever I spoke with said she knew nothing about it & then proceeded to tell me the script is expired. I loudly said, "Yes, because you let it expire." My exact words, and she hung up on me. No profanity or name calling. Who wouldn't be upset when a pharmacy lets a script expire that could result in you going into antiphylactic shock?
I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Surprise, surprise, the supervisor was the one that hung up on me. She proceeded to tell me now that they have to call Arizona for a new script. Well, if they had done their job, they wouldn't have to do that.
I honestly don't even know if they are going to put forth the effort, so now it's a waiting game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my allergies stay in check until I get back to Arizona in June.
That small-town hospitality is non-existent at the Walgreens in Athens Texas!

Was contacted on March 8th saying prescription would be ready by 6 pm. Went on March 9th at 8 am to pick up the prescription and was told it hasn’t even been filled and will take at least 30 minutes to fill.

Terrible pharmacy service. Received notification medication was ready. Went by to pickup the meds. Told meds weren't ready. Come back in an hour.

Every single time I've gone to pick up a prescription it has never once been ready, with more than enough time allowed! In my experience it seems they don't even begin to work on your prescription ready until you show up and then they make you wait. You understand many people waiting to get their prescriptions are sick right? I came in and was told it would be about 40 minutes. So I came back 40 minutes later and was told it would 20 minutes. Come on people- do better!

Terrible Service!!! Came in for a prescription that had been called in at 11 am by my dr. It was 6:30 pm and the lady was vacuuming and ignoring me standing there. Another worker had to point out she had a customer. She told me no one had called in a prescription. Luckily I was able to get a hold of someone in my dr office that late and they confirmed they had indeed called it in and left a message on their voicemail since they were closed for lunch. After finally checking their voicemail at 6:30 pm, they confirmed I did have a prescription. Then the lady waiting on me as rude and told me to sit down in a condescending manner. Not good when you're sick as crap and have to take crap from incompetent people!!!

Made an appointment for a vaccine. Arrived on time. Had filled out everything online in advance. Told the consultation person I had an appointment for a vaccine and they told me to just get into the line behind all the people without an appointment. Wasn't seen until 40 minutes later. Resources standing around talking to each other. Fail

I guess it is not enough to call in your prescription over night and have it ready at the time you designated. When I stood in line for 15 minutes and patiently waited for my order, I was told that I had to wait a half hour later for it to be filled. No apology, just "We're a little backed up right now." If you ask me, they don't even deserve one star.

I'm not sure why all the negative reviews. We had our script transferred from Denton, TX to this location, and it was ready within the hour. The pharmacist was really nice as was the staff working there. Just wanted to give them a fair review.

This is the worst walgreens I have ever seen. They always have some issue, they even once tried to kill my 3 year old by giving us some 80 year olds meds even after they verified information. They are completely incompetent and do not know to do their job. It's like they have a flag in the system that says to completely screw with me every time I go in. I have never had an experience with them where it actually went smoothly.
