I just wanted to say thank you to the staff here. I had to take in my family’s elderly dog to be put down and as hard as it was, the staff here made the experience incredibly comforting and supportive. I was given so much time to be with my dog before and after and they even prayed over us before we said goodbye. It was actually a beautiful experience and one I’ll never forget. Thank you ❤️

Dr Sammons and her entire staff treat you like family. The moment you walk in you know you’ve brought your precious fur babies to the perfect place to receive the highest standards of care. The empathy, compassion and love you receive from these amazing women is the highest of levels. There’s just not enough words to describe how grateful I am to Dr Sammons for holding my hand and praying over my sweet boy Taz. You will not find a better clinic for your fur babies than this one!!

edit:don't waste your time if you aren't "in the know" -- they aren't accepting new patients ; not even emotion support animals.the owner called my cell phone directly after turning me down as a new patient just to ask me to remove my review because they're "saving lives" but they neglect to inform you they only save the lives of people who are grandfathered into the community.Food for thought if you've got a brand new dog and you're looking for vaccines. I'd suggest looking a few miles North. More than willing to accept "new patients"Regards.

Weird that a vet in a small town does not accept new patients. I have been looking to find a new vet for my animals that was closer to home and open more days during then my current. Called to make an appointment and they are not accepting new patients. This is the first time I have ever heard this from a vets office. So if you use this vet an suggesting them to others, don't bother. They must have plenty of business or charge plenty to turn away new customers.

Updated 7/2023Dr Sammons is still the #1 BEST VET!! She and her staff are wonder workers, caring and compassionate and fully skilled in caring for our family fur babies.Well worth the drive! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️The doctor and staff are phenomenal! Caring meter goes off the chart! Our sweet little dog was scheduled for surgery, but started having a crisis before her appointment and this awesome vet team worked with us to help her. We feel so grateful for all they did, for our pet and also for us!

I just moved here from Dallas and I am so impressed with the care Dr. Sammons and her staff has given to my cats, my mother’s cats, and the 3 puppies I rescued after they were dumped on a desolate country road. I have never been to a vet clinic that goes above and beyond like this place. My older cat Java had a problem and she was licking the hair off of this certain area on her leg. I took her to 2 different vets and one of them took X-rays, but said nothing was out of the ordinary. Dr. Sammons was able to pin point the problem off of those X-rays and put Java on medication. She is a happy cat and running through the house like a younger cat and her hair has fully grown back. I was so impressed that Dr. Sammons takes so much time and is so thorough with each of the animals. I have never met anyone like her and she is one of a kind. I adore her staff. They are wonderful and care about each animal that walks into the clinic. I observe this every time I am there.

I am upset. This office refuses to give RXs thru Chewy, wanting to use their mail order delivery service AND TRY TO PUSH the ONE option they carry in office for heartworm preventative. ITS TWICE AS EXPENSIVE because they recommend a combo not just one pill.I knew what I wanted, and spent time researching. I felt like I had to jump thru hoops, then the delivery service wasn't renewed, for the one refill. Again tons of headache and hassle.*Offer more than one option for Heartworm prevention. Everyone is supposed to take it. Some of us care which one we use. $40/mnth for Heartworm prevention?

Where to begin? I went to this place based on other reviews & now can only believe most are from employees or friends because Country View Animal Hospital are two faced. The people who I met at the time of the appointment were all nice, but after when trying to get heartworm preventative they recommended, I was met with a contrary attitude.I went there to get yearly shots/tests done for my Aussie. They gave her an exam & a rabies shot. I asked the doctor about getting heartworm preventative renewal & she said she would renew it. Next day I get an email from their online store & I proceeded to order a 6 month supply. Then a week later I call them to find out why it hadn't been shipped yet, & they tell me they are denying it based on recommendation of a different doctor ( whom I never met with). This doctor goes into a long explanation about how my dog's heartworm test wasn't due for another 3 months & that's why she denied it. But here's the rub. Giving a dog a heartworm test more than once per year doesn't hurt the dog at all since it's just a blood test. Plus when a vet can see in your records that you've been regularly buying heartworm preventative, they often don't do one but every other year. So for this other doctor to say I had to come back in 3 months later to get a heartworm test simply makes no sense. They could have done that at my visit. Makes it seem like they are trying to collect more money for having to come in for another office visit. It may be that this other doctor is a roaming doctor who owns the hospital, but doesn't work there except a few days per week & when she sees her office didn't take "advantage" of a new patient, she tries to come up with reasons. It's highly unprofessional and a shame as this place was really close to my house. But lots of good Vets out there & I will have to find one elsewhere.

Took my youngest pup in for checkup and shots, the doc and staff took such good care of her and went well out of their way to ensure that she was comfortable with the process. The other techs are very friendly and help you feel like you've been coming their for years. I will definitely be coming back with my other pup. Thank you.
