I am new in the north Dallas area and mounted a search for a storage facility for our RV when we are off the road. FreeUp Storage Aubrey, TX offered the best price by far. The next morning I drove over to check out the facilities. It is large, organized, and clean - perfect for my purposes. The manager, Tara, was friendly, efficient and clear. As is usually the case, it's the human side that determines how suitable and desirable a facility or service will be. I left with confidence that I was fortunate to have rented the space.

I left a different storage facility because the monthly cost had doubled in two years. FreeUp offered a climate-controlled unit at less than half the cost I was paying for the same sized unit at my previous facility and that one was outdoors. Tara at FreeUp makes signing up and getting moved in extremely easy and the facility is very clean and organized. I highly recommend FreeUp storage in Aubrey.

Tara, at the Aubrey location will take great care of you! She’s cheerful, helpful, & clearly possessed of some arcane magic to make head or tail of the way the storage numbering system was originally laid out.Nicest storage representative I’ve ever met! And I’ve been dealing with storage (multiple units in multiple locations since 2014. Right now I have three storage units and two 40 foot containers… down from 6!!!…located in 4 cities in 2 states) so I know a little bit of what I’m talking about ?

This facility has gone WAY down hill since they switched over to FreeUp. They have raised my rates at least 3 times in the last 2 years that I can remember. The units themselves are filled with spiders and bugs. They have very low clearances on the height. They have a tiny parking lot where they do the mobile uhaul pick up, so 2 of the 3 spots are taken up with a uhaul truck at most times. And it's nearly impossible to speak to a live human being at the actual location. 3 times in the last week we've spoken to someone at the call center (since they never answer their phone) and they relayed messages to the facility and we have yet to receive a call back. So glad we found a larger, cleaner unit about 5 miles away and it's actually cheaper than what we were paying for a smaller unit at this location. Save yourself money and hassle. There are much better options within 5-10 miles of this location.UPDATE: If you close out your unit after the 6th day of the month they don't give you any of your money back for that month. Further confirmation that FreeUp is money hungry and doesn't really care about it's customers. Stay away folks.

Every time they do something to upgrade the place they jack up the prices. They look nice from the outside. The inside of the units the ceiling is falling in, all your stuff on the inside is covered in dirt. There are rodents that chew through the units. Im sure with all the upgrades and the jacked up rent they will eventually get to fixing the insides of the units. Also I guess you do not get to choose your own gate pin, you get stuck with some random mix of letters and numbers that are the length of the alphabet and impossible to remember(slight exaduration) My issue with this place is if you have been a tenat for over 5 years you do not get the grandfather price. You keep getting your rent jacked even though the quality of the unit inside is the same as its always been. Just paing higher price for new paint job and a nicer drive way. Makes no sense.

I have had the most + experience. Amanda @FreeUp Storage was and has been the most helpful. My experience here has been the best. A 5 star experience! I never got a lock on my unit, as I was I'll and Amanda put a lock on it and notified me of the combination. Can't ask for anything more!
