About Capital City Guitar Camp
Capital City Guitar Camp is a popular summer day camp for children aged 7 to 15 who play classical guitar. The camp welcomes kids of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players, and groups children accordingly to help them improve their guitar skills. The program features classes taught by certified Childbloom Guitar Program instructors, including the camp director, who is highly praised for being patient, kind, enthusiastic, and dedicated. Throughout the week, children learn new music, participate in fun activities, and enjoy performances by guest musicians from Central Texas. The camp also emphasizes the importance of performances, as kids get the chance to perform their learned songs during the final concert, which families are encouraged to attend. Many reviews highlight how much children learn in just a week, with some children performing solo at school talent shows after attending the camp. Additionally, the camp offers recording opportunities, allowing kids to have CDs of their songs. Amazing to see the development of my child over the course of the camp. Started off a little shy and having trouble with the pieces, but made great strides and they all sounded great at the end!
