I was told that this business is permanently closed, so I was not able to order anything. I hope they're able to re-open.

They have a food truck that comes to my apartment complex about once a month. I’d never tried them until today, and to my absolute delight this food was phenomenal. Fried but not greasy, battered but not too heavy, and spicy but without setting fire to my mouth. I’ve never had Cajun before, but after trying this, I will be looking forward to the texts with their name on it!

I moved to Texas 5 years ago from Washington DC and I must say in 5 years this is the best food I've had in a long time. I ordered the fried fish plate about 20 minutes ago and it was AMAZING!!! if I wasn't full I'd drive right on back and order more flavorful food my son orded the BBQ chicken and that too was amazing. My aunt ordered the pork chop sandwich and she was over pleased (didn't try that though)Hands down one of the best places I've gotten to enjoy.Wish Da Boot came to Midland they would make an even bigger killingAMAZING!!!!

There’s a ton of people that claim Cajun and generally have no idea and have never been near anything Cajun. This place is Cajun from top to bottom. Perfectly cooked seafood. That shrimp poboy was outa sight! The Cajun fries were done perfectly. Not this battered nonsense people pretend is Cajun. The hush puppies were awesome! I hope this place stays where it’s at. We will be going back. I want to know what’s up with the rolling pin on the shelf. Hoping they plan on making some meat pies but it may be for self defense. You don’t want to mess with no Cajun mama with a rollin pin!

I had their crawfish po'boy tonight and it was perfect. I'd recommend them to anyone. There was plenty of crawfish and it was very filling. They don't cheap out on the crawfish or any of the toppings. It's literally LOADED with crawfish. I had to constantly pick them up while I was eating the po'boy. I probably spent more time picking up the falling crawfish than eating the po'boy. The people are friendly and sweet. I'd include a picture but I ate it all before I could take a picture. I promise you won't be disappointed!

DA Boot Poboys is a purple food truck that is located in front of Oasis Car Wash. Mentioning this as my map took me to the wrong place! We had two shrimp poboys, Cajun fries, okra, and a drink for ~$31. Everything is prepared fresh to order so the wait time was very reasonable, only about 15 minutes. Very fresh and tasty!! Thank you! We'll be back

To be clear this review is not about the food. I haven’t even tasted it yet the experience at the food truck was so bad that I am leaving this review in the car.The two women running the truck refused to make eye contact or acknowledge the presence of a customer (me) standing in front of them for 25 minutes while I was getting text messages telling me my order was ready. Until I LITERALLY had to yell to get there attention.P.S. for a restaurant that claims everything take longer because it is “made fresh” I sure witnessed an lot of microwaving during my 25 minute wait.

What more can be said beyond the best Catfish Po-boy I’ve ever had outside da boot. Talk about being made with love! The sandwich came out fresh, and bread was soft and buttery. The breading on the fish was seasoned and crunchy, but didn’t overpower the fish. I got the 12” thinking I would save some for later, but I ended up eating the whole thing it was so good. They hit dat heaux ?.

Let me start with this... I am a New Orleans native and one thing I've learned to understand that everyone from New Orleans cannot cook and definitely don't understand that timeliness is imperative. We visited this food truck on our way from Austin back to Dallas and it was an experience that did not meet my expectations of a NOLA distinction. We were excited to get some NOLA flavors for our road trip, but it didn't work out the way we expected. While the owner and the young lady on the register had pleasant attitudes... The prices and food quality did not impress me! We ordered Voodoo Wings, Fried Shrimp platter, soft shell crab and a boudin link. Our total came up to $49. Being a business owner of a Cajun Catering company I understand food prices has increased, but the food quality and service should be top notch to balance the price increases. Soooo the wings were not seasoned but just fried and covered in sauce, the shrimp and soft shell crab was saturated in oil. While the flavor was there, the saturation of grease killed it all. To add, I paid $8 for a small soft shell crab without all the legs and connected parts. Lastly, The Boudin taste like breading dressing in the casting. In addition to that experience the food took over 40 min to prepare ! I'm sure this particular feedback should not be a shock to the owner as several patrons have already made mention of this. Yelp is a platform that any owner should value because this is where the customer gives feedback that can either hurt or help your business. I hope Da Boot make the necessary changes necessary to keep their customers happy!
