Jimmy does the best job detailing our boat. We have him come out beginning and end of the season and he does the best job. Reasonable too! Always blown away by the before and after

I am typically not one to write a bad review and if I do, I have given the business multiple opportunities. Reached out on June 25th and spoke to Jimmy about detailing my boat in the next few weeks. Jimmy said he would call. Never got a call so I followed up with a email on June 27th and June 28th. Got a response on July 2nd which was great saying he could not get it done that week but the following week. I said, great, that works fine. Please schedule. Did not hear anything and followed up again on Tuesday, July 13th asking for confirmation that boat would get done this week. Never got a response. Called another company and got boat detailed.

I own a 2007 Yamaha AR230 boat (the 23 in 230 stands for 23 feet long). My boat cover is a bit old and with all of the rain this spring, it got pretty dirty and moldy on the inside. The exterior paint has faded due to the age of the boat, so I decided to put a vinyl wrap on it to make it look better. So, I contacted several companies on Yelp to find one to get the boat cleaned and have the decal removed. Every company I contacted was booked for months, except Deck Hands. With only one bad review, I thought they would be a good choice. I arranged to drop my boat off with Jimmy at the address on his website at a specific time. I got to the address to find that it was the parking lot of the Sail & Ski Yacht Club marina parking lot. I called and texted Jimmy's number - no answer/ no response. After about 20 minutes I decided to leave. As I was about to leave, he drove up in his truck and showed me where to park the boat in the parking lot. I parked it and we talked about what to do. He recommended wet sanding the boat to address the faded paint. I told him not to because I was just going to cover the boat in a vinyl wrap which is why I was asking him to remove the old decals. He told me the price would be $12 per foot to clean and $65 per hour to remove the decals (he estimated between 2 & 3 hours). So, the price would be between $406 and $471 for the service. About 10 days later, I get a text that the boat is finished. When I arrive to pick it up, he wasn't there and the boat still had the decals on it. He responded to the text and apologized for forgetting it. I didn't want to keep leaving my boat in a marina parking lot, so he agreed to have his guys come to my home. When I got home, I noticed a few items on the interior that had missed cleaning. Jimmy said his guys would address that when they came to remove the decals. After pestering him for over a week, his guys finally came to my home to remove the decals. I was there to greet them and eat lunch. I had to leave after 1 1/2 hours and the were almost finished when I left. Jimmy then emailed me the invoice for around $1,000 (that was even with a 'discount' for poor performance.) He charged me $14 per foot (for a 24-foot boat), 4 hours at $65 for the decal removal and a $400 charge for wet sanding. I still can't believe the charge for wet sanding after our conversation. Everything on the invoice was wrong. I've tried to contact him to discuss it for several weeks, but of course he didn't return any of my calls or texts. He doesn't have a physical address, so you can't show up at his door to discuss. He finally sent me an updated invoice for $700. In short, Jimmy did a poor job of cleaning and his billing practice is nothing short of dishonest. Please listen to me and Steve G. - run from this company.

Jimmy and his guys did fantastic work deoxidizing and waxing both the outside of my boat and the inside. Excellent attention to detail. Very competitive pricing. I have no doubt I will be taking my boat back to Jimmy at least once a year if not more. Well done guys.

I highly recommend Deck Hands LLC for the job they did detailing my 2005 Mastercraft. My boat had last been detailed in 2014 and was in pretty rough shape. My boat looks completely brand new, today! These aren't kids trying to make a buck; the three men who detailed my boat were courteous professionals who arrived without fanfare and departed without me even knowing. Received an invoice via email and paid using a Visa card. Lots of payment options like Apple Pay, etc. I'm 100% pleased!

Wow!! Without a doubt the best detail on the lake at a reasonable price. Top notch all the way around. These guys made a 20yr old boat look brand new. Impeccable attention to detail and came to my marina within 3 hours of calling. If you are looking for a mobile detail call Jimmy at Deckhands. They are the best! A+++

Deck Hands does quality work for a good price. Jimmy inspects to make sure the work is up to his high standards before invoicing. We're really pleased with the job done on our boat, she shines like a new penny!

100% worth every penny. The wife was nagging me all year about cleaning the boat. I even went out and bought all the cleaning equipment and supplies. Trouble is every time I had time to clean it, the family wanted to go on it. Jimmy was extremely accommodating, and they totally did a better job than I would have. Boat looks brand new again. Two thumbs way up.
