I just had a bad experience at Dollar General on Lake June!
I have to use my talk to text because I am so upset about the experience that I just had and witnessed at Dollar general on lake june. I live right around the corner and I left to go to the store I'm going to say about 8:40 this evening, via the website, they close at 9pm. As I'm walking up to the door there's some other people walking to the door but one of them was a black man as I walked through the door a couple steps behind him I hear Linda the store manager tell Frankie the associate in front of other customers to go secure the area go security area appointing him in the direction of the black man telling him to go follow the black man. She was doing it with urgency and rushing him to go follow that black man. Reluctantly Frankie went to go follow him and me and Linda locked eyes. Frankie went up the adjacent isle came around walk down the dairy coolers and hung around in the area and then kept following this man. Only when it came time for him to go up to the register, did Frankie go do something else. So I'm getting my purchases and I go over to get the last thing I need which is shampoo and conditioner and I found some nail polish and then went looking for the shampoo and conditioner linda looks over in my direction and says we're closed and at first I wasn't sure who she was talking to and then I looked over cuz she was talking to me and I look at my phone it's 8:55. She didn't say that's nobody else. And I kind of was in shock and I kind of chuckled to laugh it off because I can feel myself getting upset so I got my stuff and went to the front and I told her that she was being rude and disrespectful and that I was a customer and that's not how she talks to anybody. Then she says well usually they want people out the store at 8:45 so they can lock the doors at 8:50 now mind you I'm the only one she said that to but the first one up to the counter and five other Hispanic people came up behind me here and I told her she was being rude and also what she was saying about that man and telling the associate to follow him. Then she tried to gaslight me and tell me oh that's not what she meant she meant for him to secure the area. No one else was in that area but him. I told her it was typical to try to backtrack and explain being racist in public. And then when I asked her if she wasn't being racist and wasn't profiling that man how come she didn't send Frankie to follow the Hispanic lady that was in the corner or the other Hispanic people that were in the store. Because the man and I were the only two black people in the store and she told Frankie to follow him and she told me the story was closed. Then she's proceeded to tell me but they had a lot of put back and they had a lot of stuff going on and I said it doesn't mean that that man did it. At this my blood was boiling so bad I had to pause to try to settle myself, I started to put my stuff back, but I wanted to wash my hair tonight. I have been in this area for 4 years and I know that people of all colors ages and races have problems and I'm sure Dollar general is a store that has problems. But from what I heard and how she talk to me Linda is a problem. And Frankie just has to do what she tells him to do.

Always open late and will shoo you away when they should be open. They don't like to assist with anything ! I needed something that was locked and had to talk with 3 different people just for someone to get it.

They always closing before 9, after driving trying to catch them to realize you're not makes customers angry. Need new peoples that willing to work.

I never had a problem until tonight I stopped to get a Playstation card for my son and it was fine til I got home and it didn't work and the lady knew it didn't go through and she gave it to me anyway and let me think it worked no my son tried to use it and it said it couldn't be redeemed tried to rush up there before they close at 9 got there at 8:53 and they already had doors locked and wouldn't take care of it real quick SMH instead tells me to come back tomorrow. I will definitely be looking g at the receipt more often. Says right there it failed on the paper.

I got everything I went for. Parking was horrible since there is a Bingo Hall in the shopping center. Store was cash only, no cards.
