I took my old truck in to have the front end looked at. They kept it for three or four days and did nothing but give me a written warning not to drive this truck anywhere as the front end parts were so loose that they were dangerous. As they say you never get a second chance to make a first impression and as this was my first time there it also was my last time there.

Took my wifes tire in to be repaired, thought we had it fixed (320 miles later) it started leaking again. Took it to tire store in Midland TX. they showed me a leather plug in hole (only time tire has been repaired). it was not fixed correctly, tire had no other repairs to it. A plug is only to be used as a temporary fix. You put my family's lives in danger with this so called repair. At interstate speeds plugs can give out. I was not informed that a leather plug was used to fix leak. Also charged $30.00, outrageous and unethical.

I just have to share yet another fabulous experience with Main Street automotive in Bandera Texas. I’ll be honest… my trust in automotive shops was 0.0%, maybe even into the negative numbers. Definitely negative experiences.
As a short background, I had a Nissan Xterra that sat for nearly 2 years of my driveway, because no one in Bandera could seem to pinpoint what issues were. I even had one shop tell me to “drive it until the wheels fell off”, completely, disregarding the fact that this is my only transportation and my safety, and sometimes life, depend upon it.
When I totaled my Ranger, I had been so impressed with the work that Main Street had done on it, that I took a huge leap of faith and put the total money into repairing all the mystery ailments of the Xterra. As a surprise for me, the mystery ailments weren’t at all a surprise to Main Street and they fixed it beautifully.
I always get my oil changed there as they do a bumper-to-bumper review of everything and I’m telling you these people do not tell you you need something that you don’t. They will tell you if they see something that you can expect might need attention so you’re not blindsided, unlike the other auto shop. They care about my safety. They did me so right on my Xterra when I was just in the worst spot ever.
If you want an auto shop that you can honestly trust, I can’t recommend them enough.
If you live in Bandera, they are on 16 like you’re heading to Medina on your left across from K and M auto. They are open on weekdays. They have quite a number of bays so if you make an oil change appointment with you they get you done quick.
My Xterra has 222,000 miles on it. It’s running better today than when I bought it at 170,000 miles.

Passing through Bandera and low tire pressure indicator came on, drove in through here and they fixed it up super quickly! Took a star off because the guy was on the phone the entire time and made it clear he did not want to do the repair and kept telling us his partner was on lunch break when all we needed was the tires pumped up and the only other place in Bandera was closed.
