You'll have to wait 15-30 minutes for your order, but it's definitely worth the wait.
Everything was fresh and made to order. Fries were hot and crispy, and the bacon on my burger was thick and cooked perfectly.
The burger itself was huge and juicy, and all of the veggies were fresh.
Best burger in Bandera for sure!

Best Hamburger in Texas.
The bad reviews are just haters. I travel the USA by Auto. I have eaten at 100s of restaurants. 5 points gas station in Bandera Texas has the best Hamburger this side of the Red River. Enjoy

No. Just no. We waited for over 30 minutes, politely making our presence known while the cook went outside for a smoke break and the cashier lady kept her back to us. When I finally asked if our order would be up soon, smoker-cook handed us 2 bags that had been sitting there for 20 minutes. No apologies. Food was pretty cold and would have been only mediocre under perfect circumstances. And the pace is filthy.

I forgot to get my change and went back an hour later and Zayne, the Clerk behind the counter, had my change waiting. It’s refreshing to see honesty like that. Also, it’s my opinion that you will not find a better Cheeseburger in all of South Texas.

Seriously, huge burgers & and fries. The homestyle burger is the way to go, so tasty, I couldn't finish it all & that will be my only meal for today! Never thought I'd have a burger that good from a gas station, but they knocked it out of the park. You'd have to be super hungry to order a double ( big steak & potatoes hungry on a McDonald's budget). You could share a burger & fries between 2 people, no problem. Great deal for a burger, fries & drink. If you're craving a big, juicy burger 🍔 this place is a hidden gem.

Oh my god. I had a double cheeseburger here on Saturday on the way to Leakey to go camping with my friends and I couldn’t stop thinking about it! I would compare it to Five Guys, which I love, but plus they toast the bun and put a ton of lettuce on it. The patties are so juicy and flavorful. I’m taking my daughters there this evening!

After a good hike we always find the “best” burger in whatever town we’re near. We stopped at the Cowboy Bar and the locals all said Pico’s. They said it’s in a gas station but it’s the best burger in town. We are not gas station food folks but when everyone agrees it makes you think. I said let’s pull up and take a look and make a decision. When we pulled up I was like ehhh maybe not but my other half said let’s just do it so we did and while I don’t know if it’s the best burger in town because I haven’t tried any others, it was really good. Everything was freshly made right in front of you. They were good sized burgers and the toppings were plentiful. The fries were fresh and hot and not overly salted. The wait time was appropriate. I even approve of their iced tea and I’m a self admitted tea snob. I give it a 5 star not because I think it’s the best on earth but I have zero complaints. Yes it’s in a gas station. Yes it’s not a brand new gas station but staff were super friendly, the food area appeared clean, the food was good and we, by far, were not the only customers in line. Trust the locals!

Was looking for a good hamburger and saw this on Yelp, decided to give it a try. This is a gas station on Main St and looks like something of a dive on top of that - but they weren't kidding about the hamburgers. They are delicious! Handmade patties, cooked fresh. Fresh tomatoes and lettuce. And big. An A+ from me. This place is busy and they cook to order, so best to call and order ahead.

Burgers are the best, if I can get the correct order! I called my order in , to go. My husband picked it up for me and when he got home my order was wrong for the second time in a row. The order was taken correctly over the phone , as per my receipt. I requested a hamburger all the way, no cheese. The order they gave us was a cheese burger with lettuce and mayo only! Really hard to eat after trying to scrap the melted cheese off my burger! About a month ago I ordered the same thing and I got someone's grilled jalapeno and onion burger, with cheese! It was awful. Both times the order was dropped off to me by my husband so I was not able to take the order back for a remake. I have ate inside before and my order was delicious. Wish the "To Go" orders were correct.

Never underestimate hole in a wall place. It's a gas station but the burgers are on point.. Ordered homestyle burger with all the fixin except for tomato. Bun is toasted perfectly, all the fixin compliments the burger and it's a real bacon. Fries are crunchy. Did not even finish the burger. Can't fit my whole mouth to bite. Worth the drive. Don't knock till you try it.
