The DEF dispenser is pretty cool, but as soon as the system started up for me it immediately registered a charge of .07 even though I hadn’t squeezed the trigger.

Not sure what happened...this Kroger Fuel Center used to be the absolute best - in service, price, and convenience. But since the pandemic (and I have been forgiving and waited a long time to post this), service has rapidly declined. Keep in mind not everyone pays with a card and needs to pay the person in the kiosk, in addition to the fact that they sell items that are much less costly than other convenience stores. That said, their advertised times of business are 6am to 10pm online. There have been several times we've attempted to buy gas or items from this location well during their advertised times of business, but either no one is staffed or they have completely ignored us as we waited outside of the kiosk. Why?? We are very loyal and regular customers. This has happened several times now, and we'll start going somewhere else.
