“I normally don’t go to dealerships because I don’t want to have to haggle with people over what I want and be talked into something I don’t want. I usually strictly only buy at CarMax due to this. However, my credit isn’t the best right now due to our car getting totaled and gap not covering the remainder. We were shopping for a specific vehicle and Jesus Gomez listened and did not try to talk us into another vehicle due to my credit. He just found us another way to get into it. His manager Carlos also helped us and made sure we got a good deal still and helped make our decision easy by working with us on an affordable payment (without us even asking) and making sure we felt comfortable buying the car without seeing it in person. We are 3 and 1/2 hours away from Bastrop and they sent us extra pictures and answered all of our questions honestly about the car’s condition. They delivered the car to us on the day we needed them to for free and the people who dropped it off patiently waited while we inspected and test drove it before accepting the vehicle. Jesus followed up in the days after accepting the vehicle to make sure we were still happy with it. This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a dealership. We are 100% happy with the experience and the vehicle. Definitely recommend this dealership and this salesman and his a manager!! Thank you for all your help Jesus and Carlos!!”

I didn't have a ride so instead of making me sit at the shop, he gave me a ride home in the hotrod and then picked me up when vehicle was ready. It's been 2+ years and the repair is still going strong and I have a lifetime warranty on it, so I'll only ever have to pay labor if it breaks again. And the labor here is super fair. Would highly recommend to all local Bastrop folks.”

“Update. Appreciate you guys contacting me and making it right. I understand things fall through the cracks sometimes. I updated my review. Most people wouldn’t take accountability.
I really wish I could give a better review, because on the phone everyone I spoke with was kind and professional. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to actually work with Need for Speed. Over the course of three weeks, I called five different times asking for a quote for parts and installation. Each time I was told someone, last two phone calls - specifically the owner, would get back to me. I never received a return call.
I truly wanted to support a local business, and I was patient, hoping communication would improve. But after multiple attempts, I am going to take my vehicle to a shop in Austin who got back to me the same day with a detailed parts and materials quote.
To be clear, this is not a reflection of the quality of their work. I’ve heard they do great work at competitive prices, and I wish I had been able to find out for myself. My review is solely based on the lack of communication and the difficulty in getting a simple call back.

“Nightmare situation: My wife was leaving town and all of the sudden her car won’t start, and it’s 5pm on July 3rd, so every mechanic has already stopped taking clients until after July 4th!… luckily William took my call, came by in an hour and fixed us right up. Even though he had to do a lot of work, he only charged a reasonable service fee. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing a mobile car mechanic.”
“Honest people, I had an oil leak, I got my car checked by another garage they all asked for a higher amount. Bastrop Texas Mechanic (Main Owner) I am not sure about his name but he quoted a fair price. The day I came back to pick up my car he showed me the part that he replaced and asked for that part replacement price which was 60% lower than the amount we agreed. He could have easily asked me for that agreed price and I would have given because that was the deal, Instead, he showed his honesty rather than ripping me off. My oil pan was changed at a very fair price. Lots of respect and support for this place I highly recommend these honest people, good and clean work.”

Like any car, I’ve had a few recalls, but this team has always stepped up and addressed every concern without hesitation and even went the extra mile of detailing my vehicle.
What stands out the most is Richie’s communication. He keeps me updated with texts and messages, making sure I know exactly what’s going on with my vehicle at every step. That type of follow-through makes a big difference, especially when you’re busy.
