Billy's is our favorite BBQ restaurant in the Bastrop area!! Heck, we like it better than the BBQ joints in Austin and Lockhart. Love the wet brisket and ribs. They make a good sauce. We like the people, too. Yummy!!

I give it 5 stars but it should be less. For r years it was better than any other place in town and still is from time to time. They need to get back to what it was. Last couple of years it has been hit or miss. Service has always been spot on. The food has been the problem. The sausage used to be world class. Moist and flavorful with a firm and slightly crisp casing. Lately it has been oily and dry. Instead of leaving it whole the cut it and it begins to dry out. Resting in oil in pans on steam table. Brisket is the same way. Too much grease and oil. Billy's, please get back to your usual excellence.

Great, friendly and Clean place!!! The stuffed potato is well worth the price! You can ask for fatty brisket and lean briskted is listed. Restrooms are clean and generous in size. A nice calm place to enjoy!!

Excellent service! We stopped in late last night for a to go order. They forgot to add the sausage to our order. Stopped in the next day, they were very accommodating and let us have the sausage!
The customer service is top notch, and the food is excellent! Can not recommend them enough!

Great food but just like everywhere else today, I had a baked potato with chopped brisket, have always had this in the past, I never could eat the whole potato and took half home, today I ate the whole potato, not much meat either like in the past, the wife had the half chicken, very small. Things change and not in a good way, so sad.

It feels like small town texas, where people are super friendly and the effort is put into the food rather than frills. We had a chopped beef and sausage sandwich and a 2 meat plate with ribs and chicken. The sides were tasty, even at the end of the day, the meat was tender and the flavor spot on. The staff were helpful and friendly, an all around nice visit.
