This store has come a long ways now that Brenda has taken over as manager . She is very organized and her some of her team is fabulous. I come from in town of bastrop and McDade dollar general just to this store because how clean and kind this staff is . Brenda and Stephanie are the most professional yet kind hearted people you just don’t come by now and days. Thank you ladies for your hard work and making this store so beautiful, clean, organized, and safe again.

I went into dollar general on 5/4/2025 looking for a pair of socks for my boyfriend and I to go bowling. I was immediately greeted by Stephanie. She had a very friendly smile and very kind attitude to help me look for what I needed. She not only showed me the aisle I needed she was working really hard organizing her aisles and making the store look very organized. She was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable about her products in the store. This woman deserves a lot of praise for how hard I’ve seen her work each time I come in the store :) There’s so many other positive things I can say about her and her very hard work plus her great attitude

I count 4 employees. 10 ppl in line, 1 person on register. When I asked cashier if there was someone else who can open another register, he said no .

There should be Border Patrol Agents at this place... Yesterday there was about 30 illegal immigrant families in line with full baskets, all paying with government issued money... Thanks Biden/Harris. I had to wait 45 minutes to try and make a deposit on a Chime card... And there system was down... Keep in mind I'm handicap right now and can barely walk... This area of the country is ruined 🤦♂️.... 🇺🇲✊ Hope is all thats left 😞

i wait for 20 minutes for check out. because they dont have other register open. what a disappointment. i would never go there. i alot of people are complaining for this reason!

Basically live in this place lol. I just dislike how all dollar generals ALWAYS seem to have overstock in the isles. Either put it on a shelf or leave it in the back. Better inventory control is needed but it happens too frequently for it to be the fault of the managers of certain stores.

Dirty. GM is lazy. Expects his fellow managers and employees to do all the work and complains to them and customers about them when the store gets to bad.

Id give 0 stars if I could. The store is always left a mess and you can never walk down the aisles because all of the merch is just left there. Either hire more people to help with the store, or just shut down. It's like this every time I come in here. And I avoid this place like the plague because of how its always left.

Nobody answers the phone because they are stocking shelves or closed because the AC doesn't work. Can't wait till the new Valero opens. I use a walker to get around but it will be worth going across the street.

Place has been closed for like a week now. No estimate on when they will reopen. Kind of dad because this is the closest store to my home in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully they reopen soon.

Every time I come into this store they NEVER have what I need. Today I needed distilled water for a machine a work. Not a drop to be found in the store. The store is always packed & a complete mess. However I do have to say thr gentle man I dealt with today was kind enough to go in the back to look & see if they had any I'm the back.
