However, someone could teach Rosario manners. Throwing my item down because she’s frustrated that I don’t have my ID on my person was uncalled for. I walked to my car, came back in with it and got my items. It was simple, but her throwing my item down, no matter what it is, was rude and uncalled for.

Everyone else at this location is wonderful!”

“Years ago I shopped here around Christmas. I had just finished doordashing with my bf and we were thirsty and hungry. We got rice a roni and some other box of cheap food plus we decided to treat ourselves to a couple sodas, but it would take a couple days to transfer the money from door dashing. Money was tight but thats why we only got instant food and soda. However, upon going to check out my card declined - money was tighter than we thought so I took a soda off and asked the cashier how much it'd be for just the food and 1 soda.

I was embarassed and tired and had to work the next day. It was already late so we just wanted to go home, eat and go to bed.

It's been years and I'll never forget when this cashier said she will buy my items. I said no its fine, we don't need it but she swiped her own card and I will never forget this kind act. I think about her every time November-December hits and I wish I paid her back before I moved away from Bastrop. I don't know if she still works here but if she does I hope she sees this and knows she is a wonderful person who I am still thankful for!”

“This store has come a long ways now that Brenda has taken over as manager . She is very organized and her some of her team is fabulous. I come from in town of bastrop and McDade dollar general just to this store because how clean and kind this staff is . Brenda and Stephanie are the most professional yet kind hearted people you just don’t come by now and days. Thank you ladies for your hard work and making this store so beautiful, clean, organized, and safe again.”

“Was told by a staff member that the store has been open for three years. Yet you would never know it by the disorder of the store. Prices were haphazardly on the products so there were a lot of guesswork involved. I don't remember seeing any prices on the shelves. The staff was great, helpful, friendly, kept busy stocking, a good reason to come back. Bought seeds, and snacks. Good prices once I discovered what it cost at the register. Disappointed there were no big reusable bags to buy.”
