If I could give 0 stars I would. This is hands down the worst bank in Bastrop County. My card was stolen at the Colorado river refuge in ~2019. The group that took it spent $675 in a matter of minutes paying 3 different cell phone bills with 3 different providers. FNB did refund me the money after I went through the process but ever since then it’s like I am the criminal. My card get flagged at HEB 100 yards away from the bank with a line FULL of people behind me. It happens EVERY TIME. I can’t run it at my corner store closest to my house and FORGET about out of town transactions. I’m not allowed to buy things in Austin ffs. AND I work nights. Their 24 hour service is non existent. If you spend money after 5 pm and your debit card stops working you’re done until 8am the next business day. I’ve been wanting to close all my accounts down with them for a awhile now and tonight is the last straw. I am currently sitting at a gas station unable to go to work because my card is being declined. I’m trying to get $10 in gas to get to work, I have $183 available in that account according to the app. I am 1 mile from my house and I’ve been flagged for fraud again. Do yourself a favor and take your money somewhere else. Under your mattress might literally be better than First National Bank of Bastrop.

They get the job done pretty fast though I have MANY problems with the “24 hour help line” bot. It doesn’t even advise you to write down certain numbers that ARE important, it doesn’t even repeat them at all. So over all it’s useless. You still have to take time out of your day and go to the bank in person and have people do the job the BOT was supposed to do. They need to fix the bot or atleast hire people that know what they’re doing unlike an AI.

We have been long time customers with FNB and thankfully we don’t have many issues that would necessitate a phone call. However, when once in three years I need to speak to a live person it seems counter to good customer service to have a wait of 20 minutes to speak to a Rep. Not very long ago you could call and get a person who answered the phone. The automated system was a wrong turn in terms of customer service. Edit: finally got through to a rep. After a long wait time and being put on hold three times throughout the call none of the relevant information I needed was provided. Very disappointed.

The ABSOLUTE BOTTOM OF THE BARRELL when it comes to customer service, plus their robotic menu had to have been created in a port o potty next to a jack in the box, the absolute worst robotic call system I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Without a doubt switching banks. I wanted to stay local, but when the bank is bad, and the customer service set it to a while new level lower, it’s time for change. God awful service, god awful staff at all locations. God awful in almost every sense a bank could be.

This bank has the best customer service support! I was a member for over 15 years and never had a problem. Anytime I needed anything done, they were on top of things and took care of it immediately. Recently, I had to get an account moved at Hatti helped me with the process. She answered my call the day after a bank holiday and before the office opened. She gave me solutions on how to get the account closed, and did it on the same day. She truly exemplified what a great customer service support entails. I have had this treatment from FNB in general and would recommend anyone to trust them with your banking needs!

I am very unpleased with the security of first national. Personally, I don’t bank with them but Nicole the security officer is very selective of who she wants to get in trouble. I workout at planet fitness, and i heard from one of our regular members, Today on May 21, 2024, One of the members (black male) got the cops called on him when he was sitting in his car on the phone outside of the building. Nicole never checked on him or even tried to make sure it was nothing to worry about instead she immediately called the police and claimed he was “slumped over” mind you there are always plenty of people that sit in there car and wait a little bit before they go inside the gym. Luckily nothing happened to the member, but when you call and make that claim that can give the police the assumption that the member is on drugs and/or drunk. Things could’ve easily got escalated and out of hand if he would’ve made a sudden movement or was startled at the fact the police were at his car for no reason. I feel as if she needs disciplinary actions and is only exploiting her power on people of minority and is scaring our members. This is NOT ok! This is unacceptable. Do better.

This has been our bank for 20+ years. They have always given us excellent customer service. I am a Realtor and have had many good experiences with the lending side as well. The ones that have stood out to me are, Fay, Lauren, Molly, Hattie, Kelley,and Crystal. Everyone else I have dealt with have been really good as well.Thank you and keep up the great work.
