This review will cover the employees performance. My husband and I came in around 7pm tonight to purchase an electronic door lock. Found what we needed and requested assistance as the products are held by alarm security cables. I asked the women running the self check out for assistance and they were kind enough to call and send assistance. We waited a good amount of time until I had to go ask them again if someone is coming. Finally someone came. Tim was helpful. The one that we wanted was actually at the front by the door in a locked compartment. Tim sent us there while he was putting the alarm cable lock to put the box we thought we wanted. I went to ask an employee, while I was asking him, he decided to answer a call while I was speaking and wave someone who wasn’t wearing a uniform to come over. A woman came and ask what I needed and she pointed at the man who was called by the bald headed man who I was originally speaking to assist me.
Now, the man who was called over is named Garrett. I asked for his name from another employee as he made quite an impression with his behavior. Garrett was dismissive, would not listen to what I was trying to ask him. He dismissively pointed aisle 10 where the electronic locks are located, but I was trying to explain to him that what we wanted was actually in the Front Windows where high value products are locked. Garret would not listen and pointed at the Front window and pointed out that they are not there.
He walked us back to aisle 10. Tim was still there putting together the alarm cable. Garrett spoke to his employee like they are beneath him. Rude, arrogant, lacking customer service skill, dismissive is the behavior I saw with this manager.
I would advise Garretts’ higher up management to encourage professional training and growth, balanced leadership,be friendly and respectful of his employees. Also, cultivate customer centric approach.
As a Home Depot customer, this encounter left such a bad taste in our mouth. I can only hope that Home Depot’s work culture at this location is not suffering when this manager is around.

It's The Home Depot. What's not love about The Home Depot. I get lost in a good way here often especially in the garden center.

Staff is very helpful. If an employee doesn't know the answer to a question, he/she will get someone who does. I rarely have issues finding what I need.

It is difficult to get help in asking for something and then when you do they usually have to find someone else to help. But they are usually stocked well and you can find what you need.
