The ladies are nice enough but the gentleman with the beard gives no greeting and looks like he just doesn't want to be there and is annoyed that you're there bothering him. One person can bring down the whole vibe.

Went in bank last week to speak to someone about opening an account, no one was in the bank workers were chatting with each other - I was turned away as the person was not in. Decided to give them a second chance today, I called and was told the person was out only person who could probably help would be a manger I said ok was put on hold - then they came back and my name etc., was put on hold and after a bit I just hung up.

I have banked at their Lagrange and cinco ranch locations and have always received 5 star service. The first desk rep was sweet and helpful but the other associates she had help her looked at me like I was in there begging for donations. I felt a slight discrimination from the older lady when they refused to cash my check and said they had to hold it for 2 days bc of the larger amount. They took my check to the back office where some other guy was sitting there talking to them I kindly took my check back from them and took it to the bank printed on it down the road and they happily cashed it for me. I truly hope this is an isolated incident and not how they treat minorities or those who don't have large investment accounts with them.

I really enjoy the personal here. I come from a small town where everyone knows everybody.. Even though bastrop is growing, the employees there carry the small town hospitality. Call me by name, ask about the family, ect. A really welcoming place.

I walked in to this Smithville bank and asked to speak to a banker privately about opening an account. I was given a brochure where the print was minuscule, apparently laying out the advantages of various accounts. I didn't have my readers with me so I could not read the small print. I waited 5 minutes and then a banker walked to a counter IN THE CENTER OF THE LOBBY that had a plexiglass divider where she stood on one side and I was supposed to stand on the other. No chairs, just standing in the middle of the lobby. I asked if we might be able to talk privately in an office because of security risks and was informed that because of Covid we would have to discuss things in the middle of the lobby. I said no thanks. She followed me out, where I stated that I would have opened an interest-bearing account and mentioned the amount. Her expression changed...but I said it's too late. Terrible practice of this bank! There's no way I want this place to handle my money.

This bank is awesome. They have always been very nice to me and remember my name every time. I've gotten 2 mortgages and 2 private loans with them. I highly recommend them

We just opened a savings account for my daughter. Came by on a Saturday morning to deposit some loose change I had and the teller told me the change counter was closed on the weekends. There were no other customers at the bank. It smacked of small town attitude and blatant laziness. We're probably going to close the account and find a bank that wants our business and has a modicum of customer service.

These old white ladies that work here are so rude I've hated my bank since the first day I opened it worst mistake ever this bank sucks! Going back to Wells Fargo

So let's say I've hated this bank since the day I've opened it, I regret closing my Wells Fargo bank account and going with them. Anyways when you open an account the day of they say it's free but there's a 100 dollar minimum you have to pay to keep in your bank account , okay i can deal with that, the women there are older and Caucasian I'm a young Hispanic woman I've always felt they are more patient and nicer toward white people they make me feel out of place or as if my money is not the same as white peoples anyways, I went to go cash a check and my bank was in the negative bc a stupid hotel I stayed at over charged my card the lady said she could only give me half my check? What? I need my whole check I worked many hours for that check I said it's okay I need every bit of this check to pay my rent I'll get my bank out the negative in a couple days when I get my other check from my other job ( yes I have 2 jobs) I took the check out the ladies hand and put it in my purse she reaches over the counter and grabs my purse and tries to take the check I pull back like what are you doing lady this is my check and she said well fine I'm going to report you to the cops and your never welcomed here again! I left shaking and crying feeling attacked and threatened that a professional banker would treat me like that we were literally playing tug of war with my purse if she would of came around the counter I'm certain she would of knocked me down to get the check now I have to cash my check other places for a fee bc my stupid bankers are so rude and petty and I'm scared for my personal safety and my money's safety I drive all the way to Elgin for now but I plan on closing my account ASAP the woman is the only woman with dark hair that works inside as a teller I will update when I find out her name DO NOT BANK WITH BASTROP PROSPERITY BANK! STAY AWAY!!

Easy access to drive-thru. You don't have to deal with Starbucks traffic, like the other bank that's right next door to them..
