One of the old women who runs the register (I don't know any names) is very rude and unwelcoming. The rest are fine, but on multiple occasions she's been rude, impatient, loud, and stubborn. She's a terrible clerk and should not be in a position that handles customers face to face.

I just moved to the Bastrop area (less than a mile from this establishment). This is the closest store to our home. My family and I have spent over $700 the past couple months since we moved here because we have multiple vehicles that needs to be filled. After my experiences dealing with one particular individual my family will no longer be supporting this specific business, even though its the closest service station to our new home. I own a motorcycle and was on my way home when i stopped to that same store my family and I frequents. I had my backpack on since i was riding my motorcycle which is how i secure personal items to sometimes include my personal firearm. As i walked inside the older hispanic lady stopped me and said leave your backpack at the door or in your vehicle. That wouldve been negligent for me to do knowing the contents of my backpack. I tried to explain i just wanted to grab a coconut water and pay for gas for my motorcycle and mentioned that i couldnt be negligent and leave my backpack at the door or on my motorcycle. I was on the road riding back in the traffic's heat and was pretty dehydrated. I am a former law enforcement officer and refused to leave my backpack at the door. The older hispanic lady just mentioned oh well its not our rules, its the owners rules. I understand rules are rules but when I asked for the owners information to have a talk with him and meet him the older hispanic lady refused to provide me with any information and just kept saying im the manager so i'm who you deal with. I had other concerns cause numerous occasions when I stopped by to purchase a drink and I walked by the freezer that lady followed wy wife and I in the store like we were thieves. Then when we are in the line waiting she speaks, jokes, and laughs with hispanic individuals delaying the checkout process. African Americans have been treated negatively and stereotyped long enough and that older hispanic lady gives off an unwelcomed feeling. As I previously mentioned I was prior law enforcement and have no interest in larceny and would like an opportunity to meet the owner and be treated fairly rather than sterotyped. I am a tall black man with dreadlock but Please I do Not want to continuously be stereotyped. I'm new to Bastrop and would love to walk in the local neighborhood service station store and be positive energy overflows the place. Let me be clear... the older hispanic lady (right in the picture) wasnt working alone, but the other employee wasnt making the calls due to the older hispanic lady continously mentioning she is the manager. When i took a picture of her she asked me to leave the store which I did....for taking a picture....wow....taking a picture of someone in America isnt illegal! I won't be returning at all. Negativity will not be supported! This is 2022 and we hardworking minorities are being consistently stereotyped. Now i rated this place as 2 stars only because most of the employees are infact nice and I loved buying drinks (juices, water.m, coconut water from there because they are usually very cold and refreshing.....but that particular individual needs some customer service skills. Not good for business.

The older hispanic female always trys to overcharge. I pickup the same thing everytime and she always quotes a higher price. When i remind her what the price is she laughs and acts like she misunderstood at first. And she always trys to keep the change. She does it to me and family everytime and i've seen her do it to other customers. We have to ask for the change.

I live right around the corner from them, so they're easy to get to. They're very friendly and the ladies love my son, who they always make sure to have bananas for. Only thing they don't have is tub butter, my house could always use some.
