Took my vehicle after an accident thinking it would be amazing service just for me to be proven other wise. Alexis was always super helpful & communicating constantly. 10/10 but the service of the actual repairs was sad. My vehicle still needed some things fixed after the accident that the insurance didn’t approve of which I didn’t move the vehicle until one day that I needed it. Just for me to hear some sounds while getting off the highway to my house. Parked my car told my husband I didn’t want to use it anymore due to a sound just for him to get home & plastics were falling only hanging from the bumper. All worn obviously from rubbing on the tires each time I’d break. Which my husband was told I should’ve stopped & took the car to you guys. As if I were to blame that the plastics fell stating I must’ve hit something or went over something. When that wasn’t the case at all. The parts were going to be ordered if my insurance approved which obviously they weren’t going to approve. Why does my insurance have to pay for a mistake caused by your employees who rushed the job? Very upsetting more money more time for my vehicle to be fixed. Safe to say next time I won’t take any vehicle there & not recommended to anyone. My husband had to wake up everyday earlier than usual since he works nights just to get told they weren’t going to fix it because insurance didn’t approve obviously.

Walked in with a problem and they jumped right on it. Fixed it while I waited. Have been using Bates for many many years. They have always done an A+ job. And all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also my insurance works with them. I love these guys.

After I had Progressive take my vehicle to Bates after something got under the hood and tore up a bunch of wiring, and scratched up much of the front end, I looked at reviews for Bates online. When I read some of the complaints I became worried about what to expect. I don't know if something has changed since those reviews or nobody takes the time to write a good one, but I felt I must.
Christian called me at least every couple of days to let me know where they stood on my repairs. It was only about a week when he called to tell me it was ready, but they didn't repair some of the scratches because Progressive did not approve the work. Christian said it was clear to him that all of the scratches were similar, but I had to have Progressive reluctantly look at the vehicle 3 times before the last adjustor approved them. Even he said he didn't understand why they were not approved to begin with. So Bates had my vehicle for almost a month, but not by any fault of their own. I'm sure they wanted to do as many repairs as they could, that would be more money for them.
When Christian let me know the vehicle was ready after the first week, I went and looked at it. It looked great. I felt confident that I would be pleased once they got to complete all of the work. It was a massive amount of wire damage, and so far, no problems with anything. When I picked up the vehicle, I read the paper that I had to sign. Their warranty in my opinion is pretty impressive. Nice place, nice people and quality work. Thanks Bates, especially Christian.
I realize that this turned into a rant about Progressive as much as praise for Bates, but I used to be sooo happy with Progressive's service. Not anymore. Because of them I had to go without my vehicle for 29 days. And...they raised my rates $30 a month. They said because I had a comprehensive claim of over $1000. I had 3 vehicles damage from golf ball sized hail this past year. Not my fault, but it doesn't matter. So I just wanted to let people know how my rates were raised and I had to jump through hoops to get this last claim taken care of.
So to sum it all up. Excellent service with Bates, not so much with Progressive.
