I haven't gotten my car back yet, it's still there being repaired after a minor crash. I just have to leave comment on my experience so far. I went to a place recommended by my insurance company, and had to back away and leave because it was scary and gross and the only person there was working out back with earphones in and couldn't hear me. I told my husband I refused to do business with a place I felt unwelcome. He called around and gave me a short list to go to, and I decided to see this "Bates" place. Wow. It was like amazing. Friendly, smiling, helpful people met me at the door, offered me refreshments, asked some simple information without in any way being pushy, and had me out the door in 30 minutes, my car safely in their care. Then the phone calls letting me know each step of the way what was going on and wat to expect next has been great. I can't wait to see how well they do on the car, but so far they have earned their stars!!
UPDATE: I got my car back, and I am very happy with the work they did. My car looks amazing and when I picked it up they bent over backwards to make sure my needs were met. The whole process was seamless, they kept me informed every step, and had it ready when promised. While waiting to pick up my car, I also got to watch how the ladies at the front desk were helpful and concerned for the callers on the phone, that was nice, they would put people on hold and then really work to get the information to them and help them. The people in the back never stopped moving around, filled papers, answered calls, etc. It was nice to know they cared about the job they do, and it shows. I will use them next time, which of course I hope is never because wrecks aren't fun, but having someone you trust to fix it makes it a little better.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! I brought my Ram pickup here, it was rear ended with minor damage to the rear end. My truck was finished 2 weeks after the date they gave me(no big deal). So I show up to get my truck and they tell me that they can't release it because the final supplement hasn't been paid, OK. They have recieved 90% of the amount due from the insurance company with multiple supplements. So I wait for over a week while they hold my truck hostage saying they need a confirmation of paint from the insurance company. They tell me they can't get ahold of anyone after multiple days of trying. Well when I try and get ahold of them it's no problem. So the insurance company sends the requested forms and proof of payment. I show up AGAIN to pick up my truck and they tell me I have to pay the balance due even though they recieved the proof of payment they requested. I go take a look at the truck which is sitting out front, I paid an additional $150 for a dental which is a poor job at best, no attention to detail, smears all over the truck, the windows, the interior looks like it hasn't been touched. There is two NEW chips in both drivers side doors that weren't there when I dropped the truck off mind you it is practically a new truck in immaculate condition. The manager says he can fix it in a day maybe we'll I don't want my truck being there for another second so I am forced to pay out of pocket to get my truck. My auxiliary fuel tank in the bed is missing a cap somehow and was left out in the rain so there is rust all inside the fuel tank. Several other minor things but the point of it all is these people have no attention to detail, no pride in their work and they do not care about anything other than money. Stay fr away I will make it a point to tell everyone I come across to NEVER use this place they are awful.

Throughout many years and three teenage drivers, we have had need of repairs--from small damage backing into a pole to extensive damage when a tree fell sideswiping the car. Regardless of the need, Bates has the expertise to repair the vehicle with quality workmanship. They are professional and sincerely want the customer to leave satisfied and pleased!

One of the worst bodyshops in Baytown horrible management & body shop. They are so unorganized and are big time liars/scammers and couldn’t fix my truck right. Yet they charged my insurance a whopping 12k saying they bought new parts but just fixed and installed the old parts. Till today my truck still isn’t fixed right. I kept hearing a rattle coming from the front of my truck so I got curious and jacked up the truck just to see missing bolts and brackets everything loose like wow this is what I get for going to them. I would not recommend this shop unless y’all want to have missing clips/bolts and rattling on your vehicle .let me not get started on them giving u a pick up date and you go pick it up just for them to tell you it’s not ready they did this to me 3 times and everytime i would go get it I would see horrible work on the truck overall a horrible experience and a waste of time

The best! Customer service was outstanding, I was kept well informed every step of the process. The repair is visually undetectable, even the paint blend is perfect. I won’t use another body shop.

Thank you Bates for doing such a great job on my truck. From the check in process to the check out, everything was easy and designed for a streamlined flow to satisfy the customer. The work performed was above par and I’d definitely trust you guys with any of my vehicles should I find myself in the unfortunate circumstances of needing body work again.

I wrecked my truck, and it ended up totalling.they got me in a rental car in no time at all. The customer service staff was very helpful, friendly,and very informative on the entire process.i recommend them.
