I work in the marine industry servicing chemical tankers so I go in a lot of different plants in the Gulf Coast area. The Exxon chemical plants (both this one and the one in Beaumont) have some of the worst security of any of the places I visit. They're lazy and standoffish and just straight up don't know how to do their jobs. We constantly end up waiting well over an hour to gain entrance, and almost always it ends up that they had our paperwork the whole time and are just too incompetent to find it.

Tiger Gym is an employees-only gym facility inside what used to be the Baytown Junior High School Gymnasium. The school, along with it's original gymnasium, were built in 1927. A new gym facility was constructed in the 1970's. The school burned down in 1979. The City of Baytown gave the entire property to ExxonMobil Corp. The area was fenced off and added to the ExxonMobil Baytown Complex. The Old Gym building was repurposed as heavy equipment storage while the New Gym building was retained as the Baytown Complex Employees-Only gym.
