This is my second visit for the summer. If you're tired of catching attitudes by the clerks at the main location on Baker St., this USPS is a welcome relief. It is simply laid back here with the one clerk working. The clerks here are usually light hearted, working at the only open window bay inside.
A couple of notables about this facility. My preference of choice today was their government building is a remarkable brick built, with some architectural stone work, with some value for Baytown.
Also, if you arrive after 11 am, before the clerk closes for lunch, chances are the customer overflow will occur across the street, in front of the Baytown Cafe Taqueria. The customers there starts moving well before lunch time at noon and they take up all the street parking lanes in that vicinity, out front of the post office. You'll probably need to pull in on the lane nearest to the post office steps if youre expecting child or our community's elderly.
Or as I chose to do is park on the left side of the post office building, to allow for those who prefer to arrive, right before they close for lunch, to park out front near the steps.

They would close whenever they want and post something about their closure AFTER they closed. I don’t think the main USPS cares much about this branch and its customer service. But what can we do? We have no other choice but to just deal with it…

By far the most laziest and rudest delivery drivers ever. And making complaints does nothing as the people who handle them never have a solution.

employee appeared to be sleeping during operation hour. This occurred multiple times when we were just waiting way past 9 am for someone to help us. What can I expect for a government run facility anyway?

Site should be on historical register.
Sister site (Old Goose Creek Post Office) is. Almost 100 years old.
Old & original architecture is not common in Houston area.

Absolutely great customer service!!!!!! Ms Patsy was kind and gracious to everyone she took care in the line ahead of us as we waited our turn. Then she took care of our needs within a couple of minutes in a kind professional manner. The contrast between the service at the old Baytown PO and the PO on Baker is like they are not even part of the same organization. Old Baytown gets it done and Baker Road tells you why they can’t.

Older white lady helped me. Was not very polite and burped like a man did not even say excuse me!!!!!! Disgusting!!! Just left (Nasty and low class). From the reviews sounds like you need a new staff. The corporate office needs to be notified of the complaints!

GREAT SERVICE AT THE WINDOW. WHEN, HOWEVER, I WANTED TO FILE A CLAIM ON A LOST AND EXPENSIVE PACKAGE THE ABILITY TO SERVICE MY CLAIM REQUEST WAS NOT THERE. I was referred to the Baker Street Post office. The person at the window did all they could to help and before I left there were seven people in line wondering why I was holding things u.

Very poor service, now I see why Amazon has there own delivery trucks. My block is the only block that has to have a mailbox by the curve. The rest of the street doesn't, very lazy of them. And my package that was delivered today was torn open for no reason.
