The owner and his wife of this establishment are exceptional and provide a wide variety of goods from around the world at great prices. However, the deli staff are unprofessional and rude, displaying a sense of entitlement and ownership over the store. This behavior is unacceptable and has caused us to reconsider our patronage. We used to enjoy shopping and having lunch here, but the negative attitude of the deli staff needs to be addressed.

Originally posted this review 4 years ago, and I still try to eat here at least once a week. At this point all I have to do is walk in and they know my order and are already working on it. Great food, great people, go and enjoy.

The Greek Gyro was very good. The dogmas were delicious too. It was very reasonably priced as well.

Stopped in to get a few dishes for a picnic at Tyrell Park. Everything was delicious. We tried the tabouli, orzo pasta salad and Persian salad and the baklava- yummy! We will definitely be back. The kitchen is closed on Monday but the gentleman was nice enough to have salads ready which was perfect for our picnic.

We stopped by Abbie's Imports because of the great reviews & we were not disappointed: charming folks & fresh & filling food! The Falafel Gyro was very good, as were the salads. The Baklava was delicious, not too sweet, and there were several varieties. We also picked up some tea & other favorite speciality items in their grocery. The current nearby bridge construction almost caused them to close, but loyal customers have help to keep them open! Thank you!! Let's keep place going! It is a Gem! PS There's a good birding spot about a mile from Abbie's: Cattail Marsh in Tyrrell Park.

Not a big store but great tea selection and the restaurant is authentic and delicious. House seasonings are a must buy if you stop in. Baklava, Gyros, Olive Salad, and Vegetarian sandwiches.

The best Middle Eastern groceries and deli throughout the region, including the huge metro of Houston. I know what i speak of as i know middle eastern groceries and deli's in Houston, i know the food very very well as i grew up eating middle eastern foods all of my life. What is so amazing is the prices are equivalent to or even lower than Houston. Enjoy without the long trips to Houston. Last but not least the owner is a true man of God, dealing with Abbie's Imports will be a delight for the memories.

Tried this cafe for the first time today. Excellent international food! Small and quaint. Friendly. You must try it.

This is a favorite lunch spot for me. Abbie is typically busy, but I have never seen him without a smile or willingness to interact with customers. The ladies that serve up sandwiches are always friendly and, most importantly, the food is always excellent. This is a great place for a light lunch and even some groceries for later!

I did not expect to find a place like this in Beaumont. It was right near our hotel and I love Mediterranean food so stopped by. We had a gyro sandwich, a Greek gyro sandwich, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, a Greek salad, three flavors of baklava and an American (ham and turkey) . Everything was tasty but the pickles in the Greek gyro were a nice surprise. It really gave it a pop. My dad said his American was "really good" which is the highest unsolicited praise he gives. The hummus was ok. The grape leaves good. The baklava was not overly sweet, which I think is always the downfall of this dessert although the chocolate baklava was surprisingly rich. The little market in the store has a great selection of teas, spices, desserts, cheeses, meats, olive oils, drinks, and international staples. Oh, and RV parts. There is an RV park in the back apparently. In addition to the food I wound up walking out with spices, teas, snacks, cookies, and more tea. If I had a way to keep the cheeses cold I would have bought a bunch of cheese. Big selection of cheeses. So, if you are staying the night in Beaumont, visiting the awesome wetlands to do some birdwatching just down the road, or you live nearly, stop in. And yeah, there is some religious stuff on the walls and the tables (giant Jesus family tree anyone?) no one tried to convert me. ;) They seem like a nice family and I'm a full-on atheist. To each his own, I'm all about the food!
