It was 6:00pm, I was naked, and seated on the porcelain throne when I heard a knock at my door.
Unfortunately I assumed that someones friend or a doordasher had the wrong room since, well I've never had housekeeping come by after the check in time and was not expecting anyone. I wasn't able to get up immediately from the toilet, and I figured they would go away.
After another knock I heard the door open and got up off the toilet just in time to give the Hotel maintenance man some full frontal nudity. He stood there, awkwardly trying to explain himself to me while I was standing buck naked in the middle of the room, wedding tackle on full display until I yelled at him to get out.
Understandably I was quite upset at having someone walk in on me in such a position.
When I called the manager, Juztin, to complain, he told me that they were doing a lot of maintenance, and since it was private property, they had the right to enter the rooms when they want and that if I didn't like it, I could check out. So that's what I did.
I travel for work and spend a lot of nights in IHG hotels. I dont really have any words to express how creepy and disturbing it was for someone to enter my hotel room at night and walk in on me using the restroom. And the response I got from the manager was inconsiderate at best. I'm a pretty big guy in his 30s, I couldn't imagine how that experience would have been for a young woman.
If you do stay here, make sure you deadbolt the door and set the safety catch. (Probably always a good idea) But it might be better to choose one of the other hotels in the area.

Close to shop, like the room with the kitchenette and big fridge, everytime im in town this is the place I'll always stay at. The staff are really helpful.

How this place has passed city health inspections is beyond me. Not sure where to start but here goes. No coffee downstairs & expired pantry snacks, the room smells dank-bad, the panel in one bathroom shower is falling off, the doors are off & won't close properly, the coffee packs in the room have mold, the bathroom is dirty, their top of the fridge has a thick layer of dust, zero fire alarms(they were removed) & wiring hanging out, the showers have acquired some form of black and yellowy tinge to it. I better just stop.

I recently stayed in this hotel, along with several colleagues, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Several aspects of the property need urgent attention:
Stained curtains and outdated, worn-out carpets
Beds with noticeable dips, leading to discomfort
Non-functioning toilet and garbage disposal, with unresolved maintenance issues despite multiple complaints
A persistent odor due to unsanitary conditions
I made several attempts to resolve these issues during my stay, but the responses were insufficient. While I understand that wear and tear is inevitable, it is essential that these issues are addressed to ensure a satisfactory guest experience.
The staff, particularly housekeeping, did their best, but it seems that the core issue lies with management’s oversight of facility maintenance.

I had a wonderful day rooms were clean and the service when I checked in was impeccable Cassandra was really sweet sweet and approachable. My only issue with this place is when I went to go check out and get a receipt for my stay the sun on the front desk said step away for a moment have a seat we'll be right with. Well that's fine I understand that they have a job to do but they were gone for almost an hour and I still hadn't received a receipt. None of the housekeeping ladies could pin them down to find them which I thought was kind of unprofessional being at the front desk; you should be available, or at the very least, be able to be found.
