My experience with education 1st has been wonderful. With the help of the employees there they make you feel like home. Jessica was extremely helpful in expediting the loan I took out. And Trudy was very very wonderful. I would Refer education 1st to anyone that need it there assistance.

My husband and I recently opened an account for a new car loan. Education First was quick and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were satisfied. They had the lowest interest rate around!

Horrible Customer Service I have been a member of, Education First Federal Credit Union for about 7 years and let me say, I do not do over draft fees. My money is very important to me being a single mom. Well, my debit card was stolen and I had to wait 5-7 days for a new one via mail. Meanwhile, my auto payment with one of my lenders processed a payment for $8 which cause my account to over draft since I had already removed all my money out of the account in fear that someone would try to use the stolen card. I called and explained all this and asked if they would consider a one time forgiveness of the $30 processing fee. I was told that the manager was too busy to speak with me and i left 2 messages with no return calls. I eventually called back and spoke with Rebecca that said they would not forgive the fees, I am furious..... I will be moving to a different credit union over all.

Pros: Although they don't have many locations, the ones they have in Beaumont are pretty convenient (Lamar, Laurel, and 105@69). The tellers are very nice and courteous. Cons: Interest rates on deposits are very low, especially for a credit union. Website is abysmal and frequently breaks down (e.g., I have been trying to transfer money from my savings to my checking for three days now and still can't do it). I'm only writing this review because I came to Yelp to find another bank. I've been with Ed 1st for 8 years now and things have only gotten worse. It's time for a change.
