Generally I always give five star reviews and like Safelite. I called insurance yesterday for rock chip repair and apparently did not process. Came in for 8AM appointment and they said it would be $65 dollars while waiting for insurance and $188 without. I asked can you start on the repair while I call to find out what happened. If insurance, they stated could not until claim has been processed even though both could have been done concurrently. Insurance office does not open until 9AM and apparently had problems with computer system. It was resolved by 9AM since I called agent’s cell before 9AM, but now I have to wait because now they are behind even though they had vehicles in the bay from earlier. Their reason is people drive off without payment which I find unreasonable since they hold the keys, it is a partial payment so if insurance does not pay and have person’s information for theft of service. I guess a hand shake does not count of anything here. I was going to wait and not leave or pay the $65 when done either way. I think waiting a couple of weeks for insurance check of $65 is crazy when I was willing to wait. The work has always been awesome.

My first claim ever! It was painless. Safelite was on time, very professional and I now have a windshield I can see out of ! Very happy! I highly recommend

I scheduled 3 days ahead for a windshield replacement between 12-5, took off work and waited all day and NOONE EVER CALLED OR SHOWED. John was the installer. I called at 2:00 bc I hadn’t heard anything and they said his phone was disconnected but they would call the regional office to see what was going on. He called a while later and said he had a couple appts ahead of me but he would be coming but it would be late. At 6:00 I called again bc I still didn’t hear anything. He said he was finishing his last appt and would be headed my way. NEVER CALLED OR SHOWED UP. Now I have to drive out of town with a cracked windshield and can’t even get an inspection sticker. VERY UNPROFFESIONAL and just wrong!!!
