If my review stops even one person from going here, it’s worth it. Do NOT take your animal here. They are SO rude to customers. They do not care about absolutely anything other than making money. They will milk you for all the money you have by making you think your dog is worse off than they really are. Not honest AT ALL. You will wait for HOURS without seeing your animal as they throw them in a cage in the back and you won’t be getting any updates. If you ask for updates, you will be snapped at. They are not loving to the animals whatsoever and totally insensitive with bad news. You will spend your whole day here just to leave with no help and thousands of dollars poorer. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Not one person there is kind. Good luck, you’ve been warned!

Brought my puppy home after surgery with no directions on care. I called to ask if her issue was normal after surgery and the woman who answered the phone could not tell me and said I could not speak to the dr that did the surgery and that if my puppy was having abnormal issues I would need to bring her back. As I tried to explain, I do not know what normal after surgery is! I should have been given some instructions or be allowed to ask questions, especially after having paid what I just paid!

My little girl,Abbie, was 16. Heart murmur then just a matter of days ago liver failure. She was suffering. I called these folks and got a very courteous young lady. Brought my baby to them. They took their time giving me the information and steps that would taken to let my babygirl go. My heart was absolutely broken and they did do their best consoling me and not rushing me off when procedure was complete.Thank youGlenn McDonald

Had the scariest thing happen this afternoon with our dog and our vet was on his way to Houston. He referred us here and we are so thankful for them. The techs and vet were so compassionate and thorough, and we were able to bring our girl home with all her meds amd careful instructions. I hope we never need another emergency vet but we would recommend them 10/10!!

My kitten had been spayed on a Thursday and by Friday night she had ruptured her sutures. Thank God for Southeast Texas Animal Emergency. They were able to see my pet immediately and without an appointment. Their vet was able to consult and clearly explain what they needed to do to stich her up and prevent infection and what that would cost. They loved on my kitty to keep her calm. Most touching of all, when I went back to pick her up after surgery they told me how great she was, that she was meowing back and forth with their techs and they showed me the warmest hospitality. My kids and I are so thankful she made it back home whole and healthy. Now she's back to her playful self and rough housing with her sister.

I am beyond impressed and thankful for this clinic and its staff members. We had to bring our 8 year old dog in an emergent situation. I called ahead and they were at the door waiting to grab him. They acted quickly. Of course, we had to wait and the cost of treating a pet in an emergency isn’t always cheap, but that is apart of it. As someone who works in the medical field, those who care for our loved ones do their best and sometimes we have to wait and it cost us some money. I will say without a doubt they showed us and our dog so much compassion. I would have waited all night because I knew they were doing their best to figure out what was wrong with him, and provide the absolute best treatment. We didn’t think he was going to survive, but because of their compassion, expertise and care - our dog is doing so good and coming home for Christmas. If I am ever in an emergent situation with my pet again, I will be coming back to this place. I can not recommend their care enough. PLEASE, if you find yourself in desperate need of help, go to this clinic. We are forever grateful for them.

We brought our dying dog here and they claim to triage and did nothing of the sort. Literally holding the dying dog in their faces and they tell us to go back to the truck and fill out the paperwork. Tried to talk to them and they were like well there are other people in front of yall...yeah well ours is literally dying! We ended up risking taking him an hour away. Thankfully the place in Lake Charles saw him immediately. He had anaphylaxis and if we had been a few minutes later he would have died.

Try having some compassion for owners who lose THEIR BELOVED PETS in your care! Emergency situations are unpredictable, but no one should have to deal with cold attitudes and utter lack of compassion on top of mourning their animal. It really takes zero effort to just be kind.

The quality of care here was, very pleasantly, unlike anything my husband and I have ever experienced at an emergency vet clinic. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and as soon as we walked in with our dog they took her straight to the back. She had to stay overnight and the way they took care of our baby was amazing. Thank you again, so much, to the doctor and nurses that were there with her.
