I went into the Phelan Beaumont Branch today and Joshua was so very helpful and professional! His customer service was amazing. He navigated the process from beginning to end with ease. The other employees that were present were all so nice and polite also. This has now become my favorite bank. Thanks Texas First Bank!

This entire experience at this branch on Phelan is upsetting.I come from a banking background, reviews are important and I RARELY leave them because I don’t want to ever ruin someone else’s day… but this is over the top at this point.Unfortunately this bank just likes to say no. For nothing and no reason, just the answer is no and you have to prove your point for them to change their mind. It’s discouraging.Mary opened my bank account. She’s currently on maternity leave and she is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Mary will go above and beyond to help you. Today, Josh helped me. He’s in training and did everything he could to help me. He wasn’t quite in the ropes yet and I walked in with an international wire. Wires alone are tricky so when he said he was in training.. instantly I had plenty of patience because there’s only one way to learn.Jessica, his trainer, helper, whatever she may be… her attitude was poor. Terrible and the absolute most uninviting thing I’ve ever experienced. Granted, everyone has bad days but I was at this bank for over an HOUR. She BARELY helped him. Even straight up looked at me and said “I have to finish this before I can help him.” No one was in front of her and she was more than likely doing a wire for someone behind a desk. I’ve been here for 30+ minutes at this point. Josh kept apologizing and he felt helpless. He printed out my wire (after she said it looked fine) and I had to correct where the beneficiary information goes, the SWIFT code goes, etc. Basically international wire 101. So then she comes over with still, a terrible attitude. Grabs my phone and wire form that Josh printed.. brings it into Michelle’s office and says “she’s going to take care of it.” My initial thought “Okay cool, I can get out of here and Josh can get some help.” I asked Jessica “Is she gonna take care of me in her office?” Her response (not even making eye contact) “No. She’ll be out to deal with it.” Deal with what?Michelle comes out of her office, addresses Jessica (not Josh) - walks back into her office. She didn’t even greet herself to me, apologize for the wait, NOTHING. I was so shocked.Jessica walks back over and tells him what to do. Walks off.I wait another 15 minutes … this is while she says she has to finish her wire before helping with him. I’m at the 50 minute mark at this point.She walks back over, says it looks good but she’s sure “I can correct him if it’s not.”I look over it, say it looks okay to the best of my knowledge but again, every bank is different.Josh apologizes for the wait and before I get out of the door Jessica says “You need to tell her it will be sent out tomorrow because we’re past cut off.” Knowing good and well I was in before cut off and submission was possible before cut off. I told her I heard her and thanked Josh again.I will be leaving this bank and I hate that. Banking is a clientele business. It always has been and always will be.
