During a trip through New Orleans, LA, while towing my 2018 Rockwood 2703WS travel trailer, I hit an unnoticeable bump in the road at 35mph. Granted it was a rather severe bump, but I was shocked at the amount damage it caused to the Lippert designed/built tongue (see photos). Unfortunately, I did not discover the extent of the damage until later that day when I arrived at a RV park that afternoon. The damage was so bad I had to have the trailer towed to a repair shop near Beaumont, TX.
After receiving an initial estimate of three weeks for a repair that required a Lippert engineered replacement, I contacted a second repair shop in Beaumont, Trailer Hitch Depot. I explained that I was one a road trip with my wife and had to be in Salt Lake City in a week. I was quoted a price and told that they would bring in their welder/repair person in on Saturday, November 23rd, just 5 days before Thanksgiving, to make the repair. The price quoted was 50% LESS that the original estimate AND three weeks sooner!
When I picked up my trailer I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the repair. The materials used were substantially stronger than the original and there were even several improvements to the original design!
I can’t even imagine a better repair shop. I give Trailer Hitch Depot a 10/10 Star rating!!!
Photos are before and after. The after repair photos were taken at night, almost a month and 1,500 miles after the repair. I painted the hitch yellow for greater visibility. A MUCH more ROBUST Tongue!!!

I work for the state and this place save our “a” today, our hitch broke and we went to the dealer to get a new one, and apparently it was not a match, the guy in the baby blue shirt that help us today was awesome, he and the team got the state of Texas work truck back in to towing capabilities in no time, much thanks and appreciate, Tceq employee

We had a U bolt break on our receiver behind our 5th wheel on I 10 while carrying a 3 wheel E bike. We made it to your place where Brandon got us back on the road. He had to get one made since there was none available. Shout out from a couple of seniors !
