“This place really delivered when we were travelling through and really needed to use a restroom! The Exxon down the block had let us down, so we took our chances here. My husband went in first while I stayed in the car with the dogs. When he returned with a soda, he told me there is a sign saying the restrooms are for customers only, although the cashier told him he didn't have to buy anything for an emergency. That's sweet. I went in next and saw the signs on the restrooms, which circled customer twice. This place must have an issue with loitering or possibly theft. The restroom was clean and as I walked around looking for the snack aisle, they were pretty well stocked, only a few cleaning supplies and toilet paper missing from what I could tell. They were also fairly clean and organized, no boxes on the floor or partially stocked aisles blocked with a dolly. The offerings matched other Family Dollar's I have been to. If you've never been, not everything is a dollar but you can get anything from Draino to cookies at a reasonable price. I bought a couple of snacks and the woman at the register who was working alone was very kind and engaged, asking about our day, how long our trip was and expressed condolences. She was exactly what I needed that day. While I don't typically give this chain 5 stars, I'm definitely giving this location 5 stars. Overall, a great experience and as far as I can tell so far, the only thing worth returning to in our limited experience of Tatum.”
“I love the customer service we get during the day over at the Family Dollar in Carthage Texas. Stores shelfs are a little messy but all in all a great little store.”
“This is a nicely kept up store and has a good selection. My mom and I go there when we make our monthly trips down to Carthage for HEB. One of the ladies is especially friendly.”
“Jaslyn was so helpful tonight. I appreciate when treated with respect and not as if you are a bother. She went above and beyond w/o being asked to, she took initiative and solved a problem she had never experienced before and got both of us informed on how something worked. I truly hope she is recognized as a good employee and the manager as well for being available and assisting me. Good people = Good store!”
“This location has had a remodel.. looks so much better. Such cute selection of knick knacks. Lots of snacks. Drink selection pretty good and has a nice little grocery section.”
“My go-to place for cheap decor and little odds and ends. The organization could be a little better in the aisles however that's likely due to customers as well. Overall in my favorite stores”

“Employees are nice and the store is clean and well stocked.The only problem is that they are in need of new shopping carts!!!Seriously when the wheel treads are falling off like bad tires or they make so much noise that you don't want to push them to shop then you're losing money.”
