“This is one of the best USOs I've ever been to. It makes layovers in DFW all the more tolerable. They have a large area with rooms to temporarily store your bags, a dark room to rest or sleep, a children's room, a cafe area where you can get coffee, sodas, snacks, chips. At times, they do offer hot dogs and other small meals.Before you leave, please do thank all these volunteers and donate if you cam.”

“I was sitting in my living room in 83' heat I am 64 and not in the greatest health so when my Air conditioner stopped blowing out cold air I didn't know what to do. My air couldn't be fixed because they don't make the freon for it any more. I dialed up 211 and they got me to meals on wheels program who were so nice and helped me get a window unit in before I fell out in this hot house. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for anyone who helped get me this unit. God bless you all. What your doing is saving lives.”

“Every person here is passionate and loving towards bunnies. They go above and beyond to care for them so they never feel neglected again. They have a process to adopt to ensure the bunnies will go to a proper home, and you can also buy rabbit supplies here! I also get my bunny Basil’s nails trimmed here. Couldn’t recommend enough! Note that they are only open on Saturdays to the public.”

“I stopped in today on a workout and upon entry I noticed how clean the facility was! The men’s locker room was clean, including the shower and toilet area. More gyms can take a lesson on cleanliness less from YMCA!The location have a wrap around track on the second floor that is perfect for walking but not running so much. The cardio machines are all on second floor and they are limited and the main floor all have their free and machine weights, basketball and spin room. They have to have a nice variety of weights but limited number of weights and machines so on a busy day, you may have to workout between your mates.The hours of operation is limited to 8-9pm and some locations closed on Sunday which is disappointing because if I tend to workout mostly in the late evenings. The only hinder from a 5 star are the hours and limited machines and weights. Nice gym and child care options but if you tend to workout early or late in the evenings, YMCA may not be the best option.”

They give a lot of food and unlike other places if you don't use something they give you, you can give it back to them so you're not wasting food that someone else can eat. Dr Josh did my tooth extraction and talked me through everything which I love. The dental assistants were great and very professional. I will certainly be back for routine dental care. “My daughter is always sad when her week of camp comes to an end. This past Friday she got in the car at pickup and sounded down. I asked her what was wrong and she said “I’m just sad that camp is over. Will you sign me up again for next year?” Of course I will! Her week at Camp Thurman is the sleep she gets all summer cause she is so worn out at the end of each day. Despite the temps of 104-107 she never got a sunburn. They ensured all the kids safety with reapplying sunscreen. Pickup and drop off are extremely efficient despite the amount of kids they have attending!”

“Total 5 star facility. Cathy works the front and makes sure you have everything you need. Lots of questions to answer -- it's best to answer them online before you enter the facility. Carter BloodCare has an app for that!Next you head in for a preliminary test. This makes sure your blood is within certain levels and is more likely to be accepted.Then it's on to a nice comfy lounge chair recliner, where you get set for the needle and bags. This facility has a large screen tv, so we got to watch Godzilla movie (with Jack Black). Snacks are provided before, during, and/or after. Granola, Oreos, nutter butters are just some of the goodies. They'll keep you hydrated with Gatorade, water, and Powerade.You can sign up to give blood or platelets. If accepted for the platelet donations, they offer up to $100 per donation.Each month Carter Blood offers a different handout. This month was specialized tshirts.
