I have had a Mastercard with FWCCU for over 15 years. In the past, I have always made my payments over the phone. Recently this credit union started charging $8 for a phone payment. Absolutely ridiculous and absurd ! Chase, Citi, and AMEX never charge a fee for a free phone payment. Even their local competitor, EECU, doesn't charge for a Mastercard phone payment.

It is very difficult to get assistance. If you call you’re on hold forever…there’s always “10 callers ahead”. If you leave a callback number you might get called back and then of course, it’s at the worst possible time. If you try and utilize the online “chat” that’s a bigger waste of time. You’re updated every few minutes that approximate wait time is 1 min 23 seconds and that goes on until you finally give up. I emailed my frustration to customer service and received a reply the next day to check online for a response but there was NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Crappy service.

Been here many years, terrific service and free atm at all 7-11. Ill never bank anywhere else.Update: They started billing everyone 3.00 2-1-24(check your statement for misc debt of 3.00) a month for something we have been getting for free for over ten years. However they need me to take some steps to turn it off vs turning it off like they turned it on without my authorization. I'll be changing banks soon. Capitol one 360 offers free savings/checking with 4.35% annual return.

This has been one of the worse places I’ve dealt with . The people are rude and don’t like to do their job . I had a payment that was deposited into someone else’s account and they choose to do nothing about it . I thought going through a credit union with my auto loan would be great but it’s been the total opposite. . Also they thought I didn’t have insurance so they went up on My car note . They found out I had insurance and still didn’t do anything about it until I came in . Worse experience ever .

I was trying to see why my credit card wasn't working but there is no way to find out anything when the bank is closed the number on the card is useless what a hassle after hours weekends holidays if you have a problem with your card guess I have to wait till the bank opens.i have never had a credit card like this can't even do anything on line except apply for a credit card or pay on one but forget about help when there is a problem with one

Horrible mobile application it barely works . Horrible customer service . They make you wait on hold for over hours and never call back . Would not ever recommend this bank to anyone.

I recently had to deal with FTWCCU to close down one of my moms bank accounts after she passed away. The people I worked with at the Bedford branch were not the least bit helpful. I received a ton of push back, lack of communication, and ended up having to make four separate trips up there to get everything taken care of. The last trip in to the bank was due to them completely blowing me off and I had to go in to find out what was going on. I was shocked by how poorly they treated me as one of their members. I wouldn’t recommend the Bedford FTWCCU to anyone. Terrible customer service!UPDATE TO YOUR RESPONSE: If you are actually planning on investigating this issue, please reach out to me. I am a member and you can easily locate my contact information. I will be glad to provide specific details and the two people who failed to provide even the most basic customer service.

I have an auto loan and just recently changed insurance providers. My agent and I have made attempts to provide updated insurance info but they insist on purchasing $9000 coverage. This credit union is impossible to contact. Ive even attempted to email their loan department and the CEO through their site which was not operational. This is the only way to get any companies attention anymore.I wanted to write an update to my previous review. I did indeed receive a phone call from Mark this morning inquiring about my negative review. I expressed my concerns to Mark regarding the inability to contact or communicate with them. He showed concern and compassion to the difficulty in which it takes to get in contact with them. He also gave me his direct contact for any needs in the future.

It was absolutely the worst banking experience I've ever had. I made 4 phone calls in 24 hours with promises of callbacks even from supervisors with not one call back. This was after being told the situation would be taken care of over a month ago and was not. If you're looking for a bank that absolutely does not care about their customers, this would be the perfect bank for you. If not, I would choose a different institution.

Nobody will answer the phone at any location!!!! They put you on hold with an automated system. I still have no idea how to get a hold of anyone there. I need an overnight payoff address.

I have been a member of FWCCU, previously Fort Worth Federal Credit Union, since the late 50's, early 60's when my father had his office next to the newly opened FWFCU office in the basement of the Federal Courthouse in Fort Worth. I have their original account book from back in the mid 50's they used for account entries. My parents obtained accounts for myself and each of my brothers, but I did not start using my account on a regular basis until the 80's when offices became available in Arlington where we lived at the time. Even though I now live in Decatur, Texas, I continue to use them as my main banking account and will continue to do so. Great place to do banking. Highly recommend FWCCU.
