Actually enjoy this place a lot, mainly for the nostalgia factor it gives someone like myself who grew up on the old games and toys. The 5 star review is purely based on the kindness and knowledge that the guys here have. They bring that store to life and have an answer to any question you may have. Keep it up guys, love that these stores are still available to this day.

I visited Retro Madness and what an interesting place it was! The inside was filled with cool things to look at and the prices weren't too bad either. The entire store had about four different mini-stores within it, each showcasing their own unique and interesting items. I'll definitely go back whenever I have some time to --it's a must-see for sure! If you're a fan of retro items or just unique finds, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I've been here a few times and was hoping my experiences were rare, but every time I've come in the staff has been very unfriendly and stand-off-ish, seemed like it was a chore for them to help me and it was even more of a challenge to get them to open up about which games they like. Definitely will not be returning, they must be selling drugs out of the back because there's no way they should still be in business with their distant, unfriendly attitudes. The prices and selection are comparable to movie trading company.

I bought a PS1 from here that broke on the 2nd day of usage and so that was sort of inconvenient. They fixed it but honestly I just wanted my money back or for them to fix my old PS1 I had brought it that couldn't output video. Doing research, the parts for that fix are $10 if not less (it's just a couple of capacitors. They sell them in a set on a variety of websites) and I assume the service fee would be $40-70 and I wouldn't mind paying that considering I don't have the experience to fix it on my own. But I understand and appreciate their business. They have a wide range of things from figures to games so I'd check them out.

We have been coming here for a very long time since they opened I think? There is always something new to see at each location. Whether you are shopping just for yourself or for your family they usually have a good amount of stock and they even have video games and consoles as well. I have a 3ds and they had a charger here for sale at a really good price compared to other places. They also have a repair team that gave me a fair quote and fast feedback on when I can come and pick up my ds lite. We frequently shop at all locations just to see what they have. I highly recommend you make a stop here if you're looking for birthday or Christmas items for your grandkids. The customer service is well informative and helpful.

I’ve heard good things about this place and after my first visit today, I wasn’t all that impressed. The space is very small. It’s like a crawl space and you feel cramped like sardines. I’m a very seasoned collector and I saw some pretty outrageous prices on vintage toys that are not aligned with the market. I also saw some prices on what’s supposed to be a vintage toys, however they were not vintage. The Weequay that was inside the display case was priced at $200. It’s not remotely close to that price even for the 1st released, which is currently selling on eBay for $49.99. Also the retro arcade. Not sure who the gentleman is behind the counter, he wasn’t very friendly. Not rude or anything, just a little off mentally. Almost seemed intoxicated. I most definitely will not be going back. Dallas Vintage Toys and Empire Toys are the best.Edit: in response to your response, we asked the gentleman why the Weequay figure was priced so high? He didn’t have a solid answer, he said because it’s “popular”. That’s not what prices are based on. The market is flooded with that popular figure and it’s not the popular price of $200 either. On the retro arcade, okay so it’s not under your control, but y’all do recommend shoppers to check it out. To me it’s a no due to the fact that man sitting behind the counter seems very bitter and not very friendly. Good customer service yields excitement and enthusiasm. Total opposite vibe from him. Fort Worth location 10 x better.

Went in there recently to trade in a few items, the staff was very rude and made it clear that unless you have high ticket items that you're not worth their time. The selection is pretty nice, however. Wish the staff was nicer.

A great selection and fantastic service. I purchased a guide book and later realized a removable poster had fallen out, so I called them and they held it for me until I could come pick it up. All the prices looked reasonable to me as well.
