5/5 simply because I’ve seen it all, having both worked at and been a member at multiple health clubs across the country.Affordable and not painfully crowded.Equipment selection and availability is just right for my needs. The gym is as clean as any other gym with similar amenities and given the volume of use. Locker rooms, gym floor, sauna and equipment all appeared in good order and there were plenty of stocked cleaning stations nearby.Thx, M Dunn

Staff is great, it’s always clean. But the gym etiquette among members is so sad. People do not wipe machines when they are done, they don’t put weights away. And it’s always always always over packed with people.

Love it, miss it. For a while, there were problems getting equipment fixed, but it really is up and running well now.

This is a great gym! They have quite a few machines here that I haven’t seen at other gyms. Also, it doesn’t get as crowded as some of the other gyms that I go to. The staff are always friendly and helpful when needed.

Go elsewhere.Soo many rude, self-entitled gymrats at this location - most slam weights down hard and don’t give two hoots about those of us who Don’t Wear earphones!!Many seem to be clueless about gym courtesy. Or sanitation.People dont clean or wipe after themselves either or cover their mouths when they cough. On breaks and summer, the high school kids hang around trying to look cool sitting on equipment that we members pay for and they just stare at their iPhones. Just an icky self-absorbedcrowd.THE NOISE POLLUTION IS HORRIBLE!!Today for an hour, THERE WAS A GUY BUILDING EQUIPMENT WHILE THE GYM WAS FILLED AND CAUSED SO MUCH STRESS WITH THE LOUD DRILLING, RATCHETING AND OBNOXIOUS NOISES HE WAS CAUSING WITH HIS TOOLS. YET THE MANAGER SEEMED LIKE HE COULDNT BE BOTHERED.Front desk staff are quite welcoming but the mix of members and overall environment isn’t too good. .not many seems to have manners at all.JUST A LOT OF THOUGHTLESSNESS WE HAVE OBSERVED AND EXPERIENCED.

I usually use this location for my backup gym. The locker room is usually small as compared to other Gold locations. The equipment is setup tight together. There's another adjacent area of the gym, were the A/C wasn't been operational for sometime and a industrial type fan instead is being used. Although, the gym does appears clean, many guests don't bother to wipe down the equipment after using it. Usually during the day it's often crowded with students from the local high school.Equipment is occupied by people sitting using their cellphones. Oftentimes you'll see small loud groups talking and socializing. However, both the staff and trainers are friendly and knowledgeable.

I enjoy hitting Gold's Gym at 5:00 am – it's serene and sanitized. The early routine can be transformative; try it, and you'll appreciate the difference later on!

I’ve been attending this gym for around a year and a half now, and I can confidently say it is one of the best in the Austin area. The combination of amiable staff, various machines/benches, the wide selection of cable attachments, and a lively community make this gym the gold standard of muscle-building gyms. From a purely muscle-building perspective, this gym beats the YMCA, Lifetime Fitness, and Westlake Gold’s Gym. Its equipment is well-stocked with plenty of static bench variants, two decently kept Smith machines, and plenty of squat racks. Furthermore, there are plenty of cable systems, a wide selection of machines for every muscle group, and some boxing bags. If dumbbells are your thing, multiple sets of lower weights and some higher weights reach up into the 130+ range, with plenty of static and adjustable free benches to accommodate.I also appreciate the well-thought-out equipment placement in this gym; the benches are not too close, nor are they sporadically spread out. If you need some water, there are also many fountains, although some are colder than others. Its 35-40 dollar price is the best option for anybody looking to effectively build muscle for a fair price. However, the best aspect of this gym is its staff and community. The staff here is exceptional as well as helpful. They initiate conversations, actively listen to what their clientele says, and provide thoughtful responses. Two staff members, Jaq and Keaton (hopefully I spelled their names right), are outstanding. Jaq is an all-around fantastic dude; he’s nonjudgemental, always has a bright smile, and frequently starts conversations with me and other gym members. Furthermore, my conversations with him have always been genuine; he seems to honestly care about the people he interacts with. Moving on to Keaton he is a knowledgeable and respectable staff member; he is always willing to help other members and provide in-depth feedback to their questions. Similarly to Jaq, he is well-mannored and kind to those who walk up to the desk. This is not to say the other staff isn’t kind either; these guys just stick out to me.The community is also quite accepting, with plenty of nice and mindful people who frequent the location, and the sour interactions I did have were from people who don’t frequent that gym (I haven’t seen any of them since our interaction). I can’t speak on the personal trainers or the classes, but I imagine they’re pretty decent.Generally, as long as you follow the rules and apply some common sense, you’ll never be approached by the staff or called out by other gym goers. Now, this wouldn’t be a complete review without a few minor complaints, so here they are: I find that the lids for the wipes often tear the wipe and get stuck under the restrictor, causing you to have to open the thing or just find another station (stronger wipes might help). The Smith machines are slightly gritty, so it might be time to oil up the two safety drop bars. As with any gym, more 45 plates always help as well. Lastly, there seem to be a few unused machines due to their being better alternatives, newer models, and or the machine itself is a little too niche (the bar climb machine). I understand money doesn’t grow on trees, but I feel these machines could be replaced with different or newer machines.

December 2023 by inventory works
Stopped going and forgot about my gym membership well for some reason my subscription to the gym instead of being cancelled because it wasn’t being used for some reason added up to a debt and went to collections. This is stupid any other gym or subscription if you stop using it it cancels itself not marks itself as a debt

Was visiting for a conference and needed a gym with free weights and machines. They were fast and easy with walking me through the day pass options, with a good range of hours and a large selection of equipment. Would definitely recommend.

I have been going to this gym for a while and I like it I just don't like the fact the same cardio machines are always under maintenance. They are repaired and then they go under maintenance......I think will be better buying brand new cardio machines in specific in those that are always repairing in the treadmills and escalators
