My dog has been been treated by Dr. Winston and Dr. Carpenter for 2.5 years. We’ve seen about 6 other vets in my dog’s life and these two doctors are hands down the best. I can tell they actually care about my dog’s health. They are gentle and kind to him. He struggled with bad skin allergies for years and instead of just prescribing him pills and allergy shots, they introduced me to immunotherapy that can be done at home. My dog has been allergy free for the last 12 months. Their prices are very fair and these doctors take plenty of time with me to explain everything and answer my questions. Dr. Winston even reviews my dog’s teeth X-rays with me, something I’ve never seen from other vets.If we ever moved from the lakeway area, I would make the trek so my dog can continue to see the best. Thank you Dr. Winston and Dr. Carpenter for everything you do!!

Dr Carpenter is the best vet my pets have ever had. She is kind, super smart, and at the top of her craft. The entire team is equally wonderful, my puppy loves them all!

We have been a couple of places since moving to Austin but Village Vet has been the best! Love everyone there and the care and time they spend with my doggies.

My dogs are not just pets - they are family members!! Therefore I am very particular about who provides their care. I have been going to Village Vet for over 12 years now. Dr. Winston is the best!! He always takes the time to explain everything to you and gives you numerous options so you can make informed decisions. If you are looking for a vet you can trust, look no further!

I own and run ShusterK9Academy and have tried all of the vets in the area and hands down Dr Winston and his staff are the best. I have to refer clients and there is no other clinic I recommend other than Village Vet!!! My Shepherds walk in like they are coming to visit their friends. So calm and peaceful, I love the room with a view!

The staff is amazing, my senior dog felt very loved and welcome there. Special recognition to Dr. Gretchen Carpenter, she was the most amazing, loving and patient vet we could have asked for. We were so lucky to have her! Thank you Village Vet!!

When we got a new puppy, we decided to visit Dr. Winston after being referred to him by our neighbors. We have very much enjoyed how Dr. Winston and his office staff treat our pup. During our initial visit/consultation, Dr. Winston took the time to answer all of our questions concerning puppy care. I highly recommend Dr. Winston.

Amazing vet. Dr. Winston is really on his game. Gave us great info for our new furry baby. Very professional and so personable. Look forward to going back. We even got a call after the visit to check on the puppy. Lovely front desk personnel. We are thrilled .

I am extremely fortunate to have come across this place with the little time I had before my kitty was in grave danger with his health. I was not doing well, bawling my eyes out and quite frankly freaking out. Rhonda helped to calm me down and truly make me feel at peace with the situation. Abby thoroughly explained everything in much detail that was going to take place in my cats care there and Dr. Gretchen and Dr. Winston were phenomenal with the care of my cat. It’s not often that in an emergency situation you have doctors who are so compassionate and careful with not only the decisions for your pets, but with us as the owners emotions as we have to navigate difficult decisions for our pets health. Thank you village vet, I couldn’t have asked for better help. This will be my new primary care doctor for my animals!

Dr Winston seemed okay for our first couple of visits, but on our last visit he seemed bothered by something. We had out kitten in for her 1st shots. He did the shot and then walked out without saying a word. He knew I had questions, but he did not care. Also, they don't seem to have anyone to cover the front desk. When you are ready to pay and leave, there is nobody there. We are taking our business elsewhere.

I used to take my dog to this vet practice years ago, when they were located in Bee Cave. Now, years later, I've moved to the Lakeway area and was pleased to find that Village Vet is still operating in the area. I take my dog and cat here because Dr. Winston is very professional, takes time to explain conditions and options, and is very caring for his patients.

5 stars for Dr. Winston. Took a star off for the receptionists. took my dogs to Dr. Winston a few years ago. I really liked him. He suggested a medication that did wonders for my huge Goldendoodle with hip problems. I am sure he extended his life. I just want to say that I don't think you will find a more knowledgeable vet around. I actually wish he worked on people too because he is better than any of my physicians here! Just a good guy, loves animals, does not push for extra tests and other $$$$$ ad ons that other vets do. The reason I did not continue with his practice was the two ladies at the front desk. They were rude, second guessed what the Dr. had told me. They basically ignored me and answered phones while I sat there. There were two receptionists and the phone was not ringing off the hook. One could have helped me and one could have answered the phones. I don't even know if they are still there anymore. They seem to have worked there for may years so I would not be surprised. Maybe we just didn't hit it off.

Dr. Winston is the most compassionate vet I’ve ever met. He gave my sick puppy the best care I could’ve asked for from anyone. I regret not finding him sooner. He sits down with you and explains everything in detail and will never make you feel like he’s in a hurry. He is a great communicator. I’ve never met a vet who actually takes a seat to explain everything when your dog is sick. He is well read, extremely intelligent, and empathetic. His staff is sweet, reassuring, and responsive. THANK YOU Dr. Winston and staff! I am so very grateful for everything you did for me and my little guy. If you want to feel confident that you are going to a wise, competent vet who knows what he’s doing, look no further!!! Dr. Winston, you rock!
