Pablo Silva is a world class BJJ champion who personally teaches every class at his school. His school is unique in that this is not a world champion who is franchising his name and watering down the quality of BJJ he teaches for enrollment. His passion for BJJ is transmitted to the adults and children he teaches each day. My son has attended his school for several years and I am confident that Pablo is looking out for his best interest with the sport. He has shown me that even in tournaments he will not put my child in a situation without his support. The school is a supportive community so much that even my husband has returned to the sport after several years of being removed. I would recommend the school to any parent because Pablo often teaches children the importance of commitment, dedication and hard work.

Cannot say enough good things about this place, Pablo, the people, and the level of training you will get here. I started here several months ago. I had zero jiu jitsu or martial arts experience and everyone was very welcoming. Pablo gives you your money's worth: he is personally teaching every class, so you are getting instruction from a world champion. You also get to train with and learn from all the higher belts there. The higher belts are all very knowledgeable and they are pushing you to get better as well. Highly recommend this place, whether you are coming in to learn or compete or both.

It’s a rare opportunity to receive direct instruction from a BJJ world champion. Not only does Pablo create a positively competitive environment where all can learn, improve and grow their skills, but also one with good camaraderie and a genuine effort from everyone to get better. Pablo‘s philosophy and hard work ethos permeates and inspires.

I have been training with Pablo Silva for one and a half years, and I love it! It has been a great experience. I only wish I started training when I was younger. As an absolute adult beginner I can say that BJJ can be very difficult at first, it challenges your body and your mind, but Pablo and the community he has built at the school are very welcoming and helpful. Pablo's instruction is very high level and technical, classes are fun and challenging, with time to focus on technique and time to apply the lessons live rolling with teammate's. Pablo and the other professors emphasize on the safety of all the students. High level world champion instruction, safe, friendly and CLEAN! Obviously the school is so good that sometimes it can get crowded, particularly the kids classes, so, arrive a few minutes early to avoid traffic in the parking lot.My only suggestion is to add one or two classes a week for beginners only, the first few months are hard to navigate for white belts. I highly recommend Pablo Silva. I have made so much progress in the year and half I have been going, I am the fittest I have ever been and I always leave class feeling great and proud for being a part of the community Pablo has built.p.s: Be nice to to your team mates and please wash your GIs after EVERY single class.

Having trained at multiple Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in Houston and globally, PSBJJ stands out. The instructors are top-notch, creating a great training environment for all skill levels. The community here feels like family, with emphasis on technique, I can tell that my kids are improving greatly. If you're seeking quality instruction in a welcoming atmosphere, PSBJJ is the place to train!

I brought my two sons (now age 8 and 10) to Pablo Silva BJJ 2.5 years ago coming from another well known (brand name) BJJ gym in Houston. We came in hoping the kids would be able to learn good BJJ skills but what we actually got from Pablo Silva's was WAY more than we ever imagined. The main reason for the change initially was our experience in our first tournament with the other gym. The kids were not prepared for that experience (they got their butts kicked) and it almost turned them off from ever wanting to do BJJ again. When we went to Pablo's, I could immediately tell the environment and vibe was different.1. Pablo is a world class competitor himself.....what blew my mind was the fact that he personally teaches every class from the very little kids all the way to the adults.2. The kids learn everything the adults learn. And its not some watered down version of the techniques and concepts to make it easier for kids. Its the real details.....and Pablo knows with the right teaching, the kids can pick up the concepts and apply them in real competitive scenarios.3. The gym is not interested in selling you a lot of unnecessary things (private lessons, branded Gis, babysitting etc) just for the sake of driving profits. What Pablo values most is the kid and parents commitment to the art.4. The coaches take time away from their own personal lives and family to ensure the team is prepared to compete at the highest level. The results over the last two years for my sons has been astounding. Of course their BJJ got way better and they not only started to do well in competitions but they have won big tournaments. What we didnt imagine is the intangibles he has strengthened. He has reinforced things that I as a father have been driving with them: mental fortitude, consistency, focused work ethic, accountability, humility and many other valuable life skills. This is ultimately more important to my son's future than a medal.I can't thank the Pablo, his family, and the other students and family at Pablo Silva BJJ enough for how they have helped us grow and become better overall in every aspect of our lives.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible journey my 3 kids have had at this jiu jitsu studio over the past three years. The coaches, environment, and supportive community have truly made it a second home for us. Pablo's genuine care for each student is evident, and it's amazing to see families driving in from outside Houston just to be a part of this. The numerous medals proudly brought home from competitions by the students speak volumes about the top-notch training provided.Pablo Silva has not only shaped my little ones as skilled practitioners but also as individuals who embrace challenges and never shy away from putting in the effort. We are grateful for the positive impact on both their martial arts journey and personal growth!

I moved from Miami to Houston with workand Pablo Silva came highly recommended. Very high level BJJ as you would expect from a world champion. Organized and well structured classes with the right amount of time given to developing technical skills and light live training as wells as hard rolls. Packed kids classes and women friendly. All this in a friendly clean enviroment with easy free parking. If you want to take your game to the next level then I couldnt recommend Pablo Silva BJJ enough.

Cool place. Only constructive feedback would be more classes since some classes can get crowded for the kids.

I enrolled my son 4 months ago at Pablo Silva Brazilian Jiu JItsu school, prior to that Freddie tried different sports including taekwondo and the spark was never there. He looks forward to going, he admires his profesor, he’s self driven and he’s allot more disciplined at home due to his engagement to jiu jitsu, Freddie has learned allot from Pablo and Alex another of the coaches who is also very patient and is very engaged with the kids. Ann is also very patient and sweet to the kids and responds in a timely manner. It’s definitely a growing facility and I like that they’re always finding ways to evolve as a whole.-Krystal Sanchez (Freddie’s mom)

Professor Pablo is both a phenomenal instructor and leader, as he is very dedicated to his students’ development within jiu-jitsu. His excellence as an instructor can be demonstrated by his ability to break down complex techniques in a manner that is digestible for his students to understand both the concept of the technique and how to execute it. Not only that, this school’s environment is also very friendly and competitive, with many people who are willing to push you beyond your limits. Pablo Silva BJJ is one of the best jiu-jitsu academies within Texas without a doubt, and I highly recommend this academy for everyone.

I can say with all honesty that Pablo Silva BJJ is one of the toughest, but best BJJ schools in Houston. Pablo is an IBJJF World Champion and truly wants to elevate the level of his students. Even if their goal isn’t so high, he pushes all of his students to reach levels beyond what they thought was previously possible. Pablo’s classes teach more than just Jiu Jitsu, they also teach mental and physical toughness, things that other schools tend to neglect. The environment at Pablos is also an important thing to note, as the people who train here are more than willing to give advice, drill, and demonstrate technique to raise the level of BJJ. There is a collective effort to progress your game, regardless if you’re a white belt or black belt. Pablo takes the time to workout finer details regarding technique and after class, answer any questions about positions, what was learned in class, or things related to BJJ.Regardless if you plan to compete or not, you would benefit greatly from joining. If you’re looking for a place to turn your game up and improve vastly, PSBJJ is the place for you. Pablo Silva BJJ turns people into competitors and competitors into champions.

My son has been with Pablo since he was 5 and the difference we see since the beginning is incredible. Mental toughness, doesn't intimidate easily, not afraid to test his skills at large tournaments... and add to that a fitness level that is pretty incredible for a little kid. Pablo focuses on teaching kids techniques that they can master and work well in competitions. It's highly effective. This is a place for kids to get introduced to competitive jiujitsu and work towards being at the top. If you want a place with a lot of ceremony and belt promotions based on how much time you attend, this isn't the place. Bring your kids here to learn how to become a champion from a champion.
