Bad experience, the man who helped me told me stupid, just because I was wrong, I had to say no and I pressed yes

I am only giving this two stars because the manager was nice and made me feel seen. The one star is due to the experience of getting told to call the general USPS number to file a claim after explaining that a package that should have made it to usps from a fedex shipsite did not. Until a package is “received” by USPS you can’t file a claim online or on the phone. I was fed up with the automated voices before it told me that I could not file a claim yet.

They were busy, but they had multiple postal workers so the wait time was acceptable.

The reviews for this place, like every post office, are extremely divisive on experiences. To my pleasure, it was a great place and experience. I was discouraged at first seeing a long line of people. However, I was in and out within 5 minutes. Everyone seemed happy to actually be working there. All the other customers in line seemed happy with the smooth process of everything. To anyone trying to do a passport appointment, I'd strongly encourage making an appointment. I wouldn't trust any walk in appointment to any post office.

I went into the post office and I was grabbing an envelope to ship off a key. An employee with an accent (asian accent) asked what I was attempting to do so I told him. He instructed me to grab a specific brown envelope with bubble wrap lining it. When I get to the service desk, Jackson, tells me I grabbed the wrong envelope and I need to pay for both since I wrote on the envelope. I explained what happened and that it was not my fault. He calls over a female employee, Ross Williams and I explain what occurred. Ms Ross Williams then humiliates me by asking out loud how much could it possibly be, with an audience behind us. Jackson replies $1.99. I then proceed to tell her if she is going to embarrass/shame me I would pay. I left that place feeling so embarrassed. I know they are union workers and nothing will happen but I needed to let the people know to stay away. This place seems to be racist towards Hispanics and caucasians.

A group of elementary aged children can run this place better than the current workers here. Located in Bellaire , yet behave like a place from Third World Country. Online website states passport walk in are available from 2:30 to 3:30 MF. I took the day off , wanting to get passport for my young children . To be safe , I called ahead at 12:00 P.M and a lady confirmed that walk in passport was available to the first five people starting at 2:30 PM . I pulled my children out of daycare early , drove through the Houston heat and traffic , managed to arrive there at 2:15 PM . No one was found around the passport office . I then stood in line patiently and finally able to talk to a middle age overweight lady, likely the same one I talked to earlier . She then informed me that all passport walk in are canceled . I was furious but I kept my composure. I mentioned that I have just called in earlier and was told to come in just about 2 hrs ago. She the replied with a cold , soulless tone , “ No one is available, no staff “. I look around and see 3 other people , working at the speed of a sloth . I quickly removed my family from this wretched place , vowing never to come back . Go somewhere else if you need your passport done . If you have no other choice , then perhaps you will need to bribe the workers, like how they do it in Third World Country. I suspect a dozen glazed donuts will do the trick .

Showed up 45 minutes early for walk-in passport appointment. No scheduled appointments available for next 3-4 weeks. Were told they had already given the last spot for walk-in. Waited another 30 minutes to speak with someone and were told that's the way it was and we can try again next week. Very helpful. And that's knowing the wait time is now 9 weeks on average. It is difficult not to use the words lazy, callous and unhelpful. Oh and paid by us.

Ms. Laura was extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. She turned what would have been a 30 minute wait into a quick 5 minute visit! She went out of her way to accommodate our requests and help us with all our issues. Thank you!

This post office was a wonderful experience for me. It is spacious and very clean. The gentleman Mr. Huu was so very helpful! The address I was sending my package to was extremely long, such that the system kept indicating that it had to be shortened. He worked on it so patiently and we got it done! His gentle demeanor and wonderful sense of humor was so refreshing!

I had to cancel a package at the last minute and the lady that answered was so nice and helpful. She contacted the carrier which had the package in hand and stopped the delivery for me to pickup in person the next day. So relieved!! She was the best! Haven't had service like this in a looooonnggg time! Thanks Ms Lady!!1

A disgrace. Apparently, staffed by rejects from post offices nearby. English seems to confuse them and they become addled when engaged in acts more complex than the purchase of stamps.
